Elfrida Andrée (Feb. 19,1841 - 1929 ) was a Swedish organist and composer - a pioneer among women in Swedish classical music. She became the first woman organist in a major Swedish cathedral, put on 800 concerts for primarily working class audiences in Gothenburg (many of which she conducted), and she composed numerous works for a cappella choir, organ, and vocal pieces - in addition to 2 symphonies. She was also the first female telegraph operator in Sweden!
