Khronos & Kronos

(AKA Chronos & Cronus/Saturn)

Although these two deities are separate beings, they are very similar in most aspects, so I decided to make a post designed for both of them!

Small devotional acts.

  • Wake up early - enjoy the dawn.
  • Schedule your activities.
  • Buy a new time-keeping device.
  • Listen to slow or fast paced music.
  • Wander around stores with no particular goal in mind.
  • Be ruthless, but wise, in getting what you want.
  • Watch the clock as it ticks.
  • Embrace the moments where you’re stuck with nothing to do.
  • Go to bed and wake up at a regular time.
  • Play a game that has a time limit.
  • Make/buy a sundial.
  • Watch timelapse videos.
  • Take a long bath.
  • Don’t take shit from abusive/cruel power figures.
  • Get an hourglass.
  • Learn the history of time-keeping in different cultures - it may go back further than you think!
  • Hang out in liminal places, like a train station or waiting area.
  • Take what you want.
  • Either have an abundance of time pieces or none in your room, whichever feels best to you!
  • Go for long drives, where everything starts to feel blurry.
  •  Meditate. Find timelessness.
  • Please don’t eat your children.
  • PRACTICE LOVING YOURSELF.
  • Many, many, many other things not said here.

I'm a Norse Pagan, whom used to follow the Greek gods. However, over this past few weeks the Greeks have once again been calling out to me. I do not want to disrespect the Norse gods, but I also don't know what to do about the calling of the Greeks. Is there any advice that you could give me? Is it okay to follow two pantheons at once? I just do not want to show any disrespect to the Norse gods that I follow.

Hey there, Anon.

I trust the answer is yes it’s okay to follow two pantheons at once. This simply means that you could be eclectic in your worship and I’ve noticed this quite a bit with other pagans, especially on Tumblr. Explore the calling and tread carefully if you feel that’s the right thing to do. Spend time with the Norse gods you’re connected to (give offerings and the like) and then research what Greek gods you’re resonating with. The Norse will DEFINITELY call back to you if something is off, especially if you feel your original path was Norse. My path is Norse/Celtic and they have a lot of similarities in their teachings. Don’t be ruled by fear or worry. You’re being called to learn something that correlates with your life.
