🔮 Scrying is the term for gazing into mediums with a reflective or polished surface such as crystals balls, water, scrying mirrors made from obsidian, or into fire or smoke. The art of gazing is an extremely powerful thing. It relaxes your mind and allows your psychic abilities to see visions, images and messages. These can give you insights into problems that you might be considering and can answer questions about the futures of yourself and others. You must let the images and visions come to you. Don’t force it- it will come naturally with time and practice. There visions can be received in different ways; some people have them appear fairly clearly in their minds while gazing at the medium, some see visions in the reflections and others make out shapes and images within the medium that they are using- for example, in fire you could, briefly, see the face of someone familiar in the flames.
🔮 The best way that I have had scrying described to me is that it is similar to when you’re lying in the dark, looking around your room, if you focus enough, you can organize what you see into shapes, objects and muted colours. Or you can do a similar thing if you close your eyes and concentrate on looking into the darkness behind your eyes.
🔮 Seeing a situation from the perspective of a reflection is very effective for use in meditation, necromancy and also accessing other realms. It is difficult to work with and can take some getting used to. Meditation is a wonderful way to relax you into your subconscious if this is easier for you.

Don’t fall asleep on the banks of lakes. Lakes in North Wales are said to be gateways to faerie country. One story about a lake near where I live tells of a man who was kidnapped by fairies after falling asleep on a lakeside to the sound of mysterious haunting music. He was returned to the lakeside fifty years later, having not aged a day, to find his family and loved ones old or passed away.
despite the ill proportioned eyes, i’m quite proud of this

Faerie
Faerie-folk encompass a diversity of corporeal and ethereal beings: elves, gnomes, goblins, magical hags, trolls, and enchanted spirits all inhabited the world of Celtic and Romance folklore. Some faeries could be relatively harmless while others were downright malicious. Scottish folklore divided the faeries into the Unseelie Court (wicked faeries who delighted in tormenting people) and the Seelie Court (those who were less possessed by ill-intent). All were considered hazardous to humankind and not to be trifled with in the least.
“Low twisted bone to spirits bind, a fallen night of grief.
A hollow where the marrow left a solemn word’s belief.
With words are bound the conjured one, for soon it will deliver.
A vessel to hold those things held dear, a vein like life’s dark river.
The busy bustle of henbane pods, bursting full of seed.
Their tiny forms hide vast secrets of ancient witch’s deed.
The smoke that drifts from censer hung above that circle described,
summons forth the spirit called and bound in bone here circumscribed.
Three poppy sullen and lost, its milk a painless curse.
The dreams it makes of phantasy tell endless seas of verse.
An offering made of dried pods, whose names in blood are signed.
A hex upon those who’d break the seal of darkness now enshrined.”

The Faeries are divided into two courts - the Seelie (blessed) and Unseelie (damned). They are like Yin and Yang, neither being able to thrive without the other, yet still opposites. Typically, the Seelie rule from Beltane to Samhain, and the Unseelie rule from Samhain to Beltane. The Seelie are believed to be amicable, whereas the Unseelie are depicted as more hostile, almost malevolent. The Faeries themselves come from the Tuatha de Danann of Celtic legend - the people of the goddess Danu.
