Can I just say something real quick?
What Christians call psychic terms because some are afraid to use the word “psychic” or “witch”:
- The gift of knowing is claircognizance
- The gift of prophecy/dreams is clairvoyance and/or lucid dreaming
- The gift of discernment is clairsentience
- The gift of hearing god’s voice directly or hearing angels/demons or whatever is clairaudience (this can be considered part of the gift of prophecy too)
- Having all or multiple of these make you a prophet aka a shaman, a medium, a mystic, and/or a psychic
I mean, I don’t know if anyone else grew up with parents that didn’t like the word “psychic” because it’s “too occult” so they called them gifts instead, which is fine lol I don’t care, but I just wanted to say that it doesn’t have a different function just because it has a different name.
What a lot of Christians believed thanks to the “Satanic Panic” and other misconceptions in media make those of us who have these abilities super confused sometimes. I know I was when I was a kid, but thankfully I’m a 90s kid and the internet taught me a lot lol.
