hi everyone.

i'm writing again on behalf of @mohammedabd12, who is fundraising to survive the genocide on Gaza, and eventually, evacuate with his family. his fundraiser supports himself and the rest of the Hadi family, including his brother Ibraheem, who manages the campaign.

Northern Gaza, where the Hadi family lives, has been particularly brutalized by the occupation. witnesses to this violence routinely describe the situation as the worst since October 7. the eleven people in Mohammed's household simply want to survive the genocide and build towards a brighter future. providing for them is the least that we can do.

the cost of living for Mohammed and Ibraheem's family of eleven is about $100 a day. this price covers the barest essentials - just a mouthful of food and water, enough to survive on. (his brother Ibrahim shared this $100 estimate nearly a month ago; the price has surely risen since then.)

I know that many people have shared the Shehab family's old campaign, which was recently frozen by GoFundMe after raising more than €78K in donations. (See this post for information.)

They now have a NEW campaign, the link above, but because they had to start over, as of 11:30 GMT on 14 November 2024, they are only up to $1,005 CAD / $100,000 CAD.

Fahed (@fahedshehab-new) and Reem urgently need to get a new tent that will keep their children warm in the winter. (Their current tent will not.) The Shehabs have set a short-term goal of $5,055 CAD for this purpose. Right now, the family still needs at least $4,050 CAD (around $3,000 USD) to reach this short-term goal. (The odd amount is to make sure they can cover the transfer and bank fees.)

TWOC in need of assistance ASAP

my friend is a 20 year old trans femme currently living in an abusive situation with her parents, who if they find out she is trans, will either escalate the abuse severely or kick her out without warning.

we have found her a flatshare, but she needs help getting first months rent & deposit as the council is refusing to help her. we are looking into a few charities as well, but their processing times are often quite long and she needs to be out by end of November.

i know this is a bad time and that everyone is skint, but please, help her access some stable housing.

we are currently looking to raise £1000 to cover part of the rent and deposit by the 28th November which gives a very tight deadline
