I really, really want Clark to, at least temporarily, see this floating, super strong, cold resistant, black haired blue eyed boy and think this is a new Kryptonian who somehow got sick and made his way to one of the only places on Earth he knew he'd be able to contact Superman and hide from prying human villains wanting to take advantage.
Maybe Danny gets too nauseated and barfs up his his lunch or something (ectoplasm infused chicken noodle soup, glowing a bright radioactive kryptonite green). Maybe he somehow caught a ghostly GI bug from Vlad the last time they fought and mentions off-handedly how "that crazy rich asshole who insists that I should be his son did THIS to me. I don't know how many times I have to tell him no. The jerk already cloned me, why can't he just convince one of THEM to play the perfect happy child."
Clark thinks he means Lex, and that Danny is a Kon 2.0 who wasn't behaving how Lex wanted or something and got poisoned with kryptonite for it?!? And what does he mean "THEM" are there more successful clones out there other than Kon now?
Somehow it escalates to the JL being convinced they need to go rescue Dani and Dan, and maybe Jazz too for fun, while Danny is just snoozing his illness away blissfully unaware in the Arctic.

Clark could just as easily call up his Ma and Pa! They have experience raising a meta child, too. And since the kid called Clark "Dad", it's only Right and Proper he tells his parent's they're grandparents ASAP!
