“That makes sense.” Clint looked down at his cuff, the intricate circuitry hidden in the engraving. “Stark made these, too, didn’t he? I never wore anything like this before.” Waving her wrist in the sunlight, Maria looked over her own engraved cuff. It was different from Clint’s. Hers was engraved with the team markings for the agent in charge. His was a different shade of silver, darker, and engraved with Coulson’s personal markings. “Yeah, they’re safer and they double as trackers.” Clint squinted at her. “We already have trackers.” “You have other trackers,” corrected Maria. “You’re more vulnerable than I am. But I didn’t mean those kinds of trackers. These have heart monitors built in. And accelerometers.” She glanced at Clint and her face softened. “They track how fast your heart beats, and how you’re moving. If someone is kicking you around, they can tell. Coulson wants us safe.”

‘it’s just trendy to hate on marvel’ no. marvel has done this to themselves. they overwork underpaid and non unionized vfx artists, they don’t allow actors to have access to the full scripts, they gloat about continuity but don’t have consistency, very few of the writers care even slightly about the characters or the source material, and they have gone for quantity over quality / are overproducing their product to the point of consumer exhaust. they are a multi billion dollar creative monopoly that should be held accountable

Marvel has a target audience of people that know enough about comics to recognize names and occasionally costumes but no actual characters or storylines because of how butchered they are translated to film.

Their movies run almost entirely off of CGI but their VFX artists aren't being paid enough or given enough time to essentially make the entire movie.

They have some of the best actors available but they are given scripts more censored than a kidz bop song and more redacted than an SCP.

said it before will say it again but there is very little to me that is as representative of wanda's whitewashing as how her actions are treated in the mcu vs in the 616

mcu wanda tortured an entire town and faced no consequences for it, but she got sad about it so she's a girlboss and the narrative sympathizes with her and treats her like a feminist icon. shes white.

616 wanda had a (badly written) mental breakdown as a result of abuse at the hands of others and over a decade later the narrative still vilifies her for it and treats her as the villain. shes brown.

Iron Man 2 was funny as fuck like imagine you’re battling a terminal illness and at the end of what is arguably the worst week of your life some guy shows up and is like “we’ve been conducting a secret job interview for a position you didn’t apply for and we’ve decided to reject you” and you just go “alright fuck you too then” and revolutionize the energy business.
