Alright so I watched the response video and I think it was good! Contrary to a lot of what people are saying on here, I think taking their time to plan out an apology was a good thing. This was different from the Try Guys situation, as only one member made a very awful personal choice. This decision was made as a group about their business which impacted more than the parasocial relationship some fans have with them. Taking their time allowed them to hit a lot of key points in 3 mins. They acknowledged how important the fan base is, how they had no tact when announcing the streaming service, the comment about how everyone should be able to afford it, what they plan on doing instead, and in my opinion most importantly is acknowledging that the main reason they are struggling is because they didn’t want to make necessary compromises. This was a very important lesson for them to learn and other content creators should take notes.

I’m sure some people are still upset, which is understandable. Personally, I am still willing to support them in their future projects because of this response.

the thing about watcher moving is that i understand and support the idea of creatives breaking free from stifling platforms like youtube, but they went about it all wrong. they spent a week hyping up an announcement that was not exciting for fans who most of which cannot afford to pay for. it’s not the same as what dropout did. dropout has a cast of many people and upload videos daily. watcher entertainment has other shows, but only three of them are relatively popular view count wise (almost all their videos have at least a million, but ghost files, mystery files, and puppet history have several million) and they don’t upload content frequently enough for it to be worth it. i also feel like a lot of the frustration comes from the fact that people are just tired of streaming services. i feel like there were other ways they could’ve gone about making more money, because let’s be honest, they don’t have enough subscribers for this to realistically work. they currently have 2.9 million subscribers and only a fraction are able to afford another streaming service. it’s just not a smart move.

We all already know Steven Lim is responsible for the Tunguska event. However, the big question we had was "Why? Why did he do this?" We could attribute it to him just being silly, but I propose another possibility. Remember when we established that this

was the moment he ran off to cause the Tunguska event???

I WAS WRONG.

At this point, Steven Lim had NO IDEA he was going to cause the Tunguska event. It wasn't his idea. He was influenced by an outside force, but what??? Well, Watcherinas...

The Chupacabra told Steven Lim to cause the Tunguska event.
