What's your favorite aspect(s) of momomegu? Any kind of scenario you enjoy seeing with them, or want to see more often? Would love to hear more about it if you feel like sharing :)
Took a bit to think about this one One of my favorite parts of momomegu would have to how intrinsically tied to one another they are below a surface glance.
- Initially discovering that Megumu, supervising over the primarily press-based crow tengu had shared a love of combat on levels with Momoyo and them being implied to be equals in their duels really engrossed me within the ship.
- With almost all other connections being directly business partners or her subordinates, momomegu lets Megumu have a meaningful relationship that's not deeply correlated to her obligations as daitengu.
- Her given name, 龍 being alternatively read as "dragon" along with Momoyo's ability allows for a lot of flexibility towards how momomegu works wish to tackle this detail. I like to imagine Momoyo nibbles on her ^ ^ A doujin work that illustrates most of these is Heaven and Earth, Never Apart by Hisona (And their subsequent works) which covers early points & developments in their relationship. It plays with changes between their capabilities over time, as well as factoring in an innate hunger in Momoyo that leads to some irrationality. Something I haven't seen explored much would be how they would interact with nature / world around them. I think it'd could be really neat to see them roaming through the wilderness and bonding over whatever befalls them, it just sort of suits momomegu well. Thank you for asking about them. ★
What are some of your favorite touhou themes? And what kind of music, if any, do you listen to while drawing?
In terms of original ZUN music I LOVE Fate of 60 Years, It has such a unique quality to it that makes it really rewarding to listen to. Honorable mentions: Dragon King Slaying Princess, Idolatrize World, Emotional Skyscraper Counting Touhou doujin music, 発熱巫女〜ず (Hatsunetsumiko's) is my absolute favorite circle. Their English arrangements are so vivid and are so varied in genres that there's pretty much always something to enjoy. For drawing music, it varies regularly depending on the mood. I like atmospheric music playing sometimes, lyrical songs can also be nice when a little more energy is needed.
How did you develop your art style? It’s very unique and I love it a lot 💜
The main influences towards my artstyle were lineless and geometric based artists. I followed in their footsteps for a little while until I started to draw characters more lankier around November of last year, I believe that's when it became characteristic of what's here today. Currently it's kinda shifting with the incorporation of lines in the mix, but It still retains a similar essence⭐
