Can I just say how much I appreciate the way the Black community has Asians’ backs? When we speak out against whitewashing, cultural appropriation, and racist stereotypes, Black social media and Black writers and thinkers have been right there with us, adding your voices to ours without ever speaking over us. I am so grateful and we can only aspire to be as good allies to you as you are to us. I know that hasn’t always been the case and I’m sorry--I will always speak against racism, antiblackness and colorism in my community and strive to be a better ally. Thank you always, you are amazing.
