I keep putting off writing my fic for multiple reasons. Reception being one of them. I come from playing DnD. I'm playing my first campaign so ever that's last several years. But, very limited experience. I only have one run of Baldur's Gate 3, and while I'm in Act 3 I don't feel very far into the game.
In my describing Tav (also haven't figured out her name because high elf/moon elf names confuse me) to my husband, he said she sounded like durge. I originally thought this Tav's parents were apart of a religious cult. Under the cloudy night sky during a new moon this girl was conceived and born. Born with sole purpose to be a Material Plane vessel for Shar. Cursed with magical powers. So some kind of sorcerer. Haunted one background.
But, with Shadowheart's background with Selûne and Shar I don't want to take away from that story. Nor do I want to be cliché. I wanted my Tav to mirror Astarion. Dark thoughts that can consume the mind. A dark past filled with trauma and abuse. A slave and having someone else in control their body. A child and creature of darkness and the night.
I don't know enough about deities from Dungeons and Dragons lore to make a decision. I feel like the deity would inform what sorcerer origin she would have. I don't know if this choice is in Baldur's Gate 3. But I know it's a part of DnD character sheets.
This Tav would also not be a set class. She has that sorcerer background. Little bit of rouge so she could pick locks and such. Learned how to survive alone for bit so I thought some levels of ranger. Maybe more. Like a Jack of all trades in order to survive best.
I would really appreciate some suggestions and input.
