Fountains Abbey and St Mary’s Church, Ripon, North Yorkshire

*Just a long meditative Sunday walk in Ripon, North Yorkshire. In 1132 thirteen monks came to this valley. The abbey they founded became one of the richest in Europe. Not the best light and definitely I wasn't very inspired but still have plenty of decent photos taken to edit and share. A place which inspires and welcomes you in a very special, grandiouse and reflective way.

**Staithes is a place full of character, huddling down to the harbour in low ranks of houses, as if crouching together will help them survive the might of the sea. Here in ‘Steers’ - as it is locally known - a tight-knit fishing community still lives, fiercely preserving a traditional and ancient way of live. It has been fortunate to have seen a considerable revival of the fishing industry in the recent years, unlike so many fishing communities on this coast.

**A candid picture of a couple on the beach at Robin Hood’s Bay. **Robin Hood’s Bay, a charming coastal village located to the south of Whitby, was for many centuries accessible by sea than by land. The bay and its village were known as Robin Hood’s Bay from at least as early as 1538. Legend has it that Robin Hood (otherwise known as Robert, Earl of Huntingdon, shot an arrow from this bow, saying that where it landed he would build a home. It landed on these cliffs. However, another story tells of how the outlow, dressed in Lincoln Green, was chased here, and escaped by disguising himself as a local fisherman.
