we land past the rocks that
slope down into the mouth of
the not still ocean
and step out into the wall of
sea air’s pungency
- a state of mind
we can’t stretch that far to
yet -

how your heart pounds inside of me
Met Denisa in Dealu Frumos (Schinebärch/Schönberg), Merghindeal Commune, Sibiu, at the heart of Romania - while waiting for the woman in charge of the fortified church (story to come soon). **Denisa told me she enjoyed that place by the church cause it is quiet and she can read. When asked what is her favourite subject in school, she says she likes pretty much everything and wants to study hard to became a lawyer. A lovely encounter! (Romanian Rhapsody Project, 2014)
**Loved how the orange flowers seem to be spikes on her bike’s front wheel.
**I was walking in town, lost in thought and research for my project when I was stopped by a girl who was an ad-hoc subject for this brilliant shot ; she told me she decided to get into photography after seen the pictures I took of her and her friends. Chloe was with her and wanted her picture taken. Conditions were almost impossible for portraiture (not the right lens, very narrow sidewalk, with this wall behind, cars passing on the street, lamp posts that distract, etc. plus I tend to be very quick in such situations) BUT it's always nice to make new friends, me thinks! :)
