Loft meeting. He feels, Schmidt thinks he feels the effect of the birth control pills. That they've taken immediate effect. And now he's feeling all of these like feminine aches and pains. -Hannah
Yeah. With his blanket around his body. -Lamorne
But he realizes something now. He can't break them up. He's gotta deal with it. That's what Jess says. You gotta just deal with it. You gotta face it. -Hannah
Well, yeah, it's funny. It's that all in thing, right, which I again I can understand from like a really young, naive sweet dating relationship. Right. They said they're all in. They're not going to be roommates with living with two other dudes. They're choosing each other, they're committing, they're going to run away, they're going to start a new life. And he's the dreamer, right, So he's just like stuck on it and he's just like, look I'm here. By the way, he was not in some like weird, crazy, terrifying jail he was in just sitting in like the you know, probably the general manager's office ..and then going like, I'm committing I'm choosing you. I'm gonna shred this passport. We're not going back, as we'll follow up. The fear is just like in all relationships, there's usually an undercurrent of some whatever worry and his big worries if we go back, we're never gonna make it, like our relationship won't make it. So we're choosing each other. We have to cut ties with every other thing, and in true absolutely insane, over the top fashion, he's like, I'm gonna shred my passports so i cannot go home. -Hannah
I think one of the funniest things that also happens is that we learned that Winston is color blind. Yes, with the shoes, right, isn't it with the shoes. -Hannah
He is He's he's wearing green shoes that he says, these are my favorite brown shoes. But you know what, I I wish I wish I would have gone back. I didn't even think about that. I think Max improvised that. No, I'm almost certain I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that there was. It was a lot of back and forth. Now they have the alt lines and things like that, and we were going back and forth and Max just said it, that's why my reaction, I'm kind of smiling. It's like you can tell. You can tell there's like a smile underneath. -Lamorne
They did this like little device to in this episode where they're like at the door right immediately one minute and they're at the door of their back at the loft and they're like nah, you know, like the end of Coming to America where they're like, nah, that's one of my favorite parts. And then they just like boot it and then they do this thing. I don't know if you remember in your you know, twenties, when you're feeling like, let's like run away and escape this life. We should just like drive to Mexico. -Hannah
The scene where. A very memeable moment where I'm eating the cake. And he goes "Are you sure you want to eat that with that body?" And then I take the fork and I throw it down...There was nothing scripted. At one point i called him a meathead. And I go away. He was not amused. Not only was he not amused. He decided to come up to me and asked me if I thought that was the first time he's ever heard meathead. I was so like hurt...I just thought like he probably hasn't probably heard that in awhile....That show was in the what 70's/80's...He was not having it. -Lamorne
I feel like this was also the beginning of the too big or too small Winston personality. It's the first time we really saw that He just goes way overboard and can't tell where the line is. And Jake's reactions are Jake's reactions, not Nick's reactions. I feel like I saw his face break so many times in those scenes and being like, what are you doing? Because you were delivering the lines with such authority and it's like, ease up man. Slow down. What's happening? We don't have to go this hard. -Hannah
One of the I forgot about this episode once again, and I genuinely forgot that this is how he has to like break it to the gang. When they all have helium in their bodies, which would be truly like a living nightmare for me to sit there and have someone be so emotional and vulnerable and just in shock. -Hannah
[All right, so who came up with the freshwater bitch fish quote? It's the most quoted line for me]
I wanna say that's, that's scripted. However, it's hard to tell with when Max goes off script it when you think, when you think about it. But that is indeed in the script. The freshwater bitch fish. He just makes it seem so fluid and loose. -Lamorne
There's not a moment of like, I get it, you know, I appreciate you, like that really doesn't happen. It's just like this is inappropriate. You're over compensating for your white guilt. I have no space for it. Figure that out bye and it stays in that lane. I think it is the only saving grace of the storyline for me. -Hannah
I just remember being with like Lamorne this whole episode. -Zooey
I love a Max break and Max breaks twice in this episode. One is when he's watching Jake pretend to be Ernest Hemingway in the kitchen...And the other is him watching you read Z is for zombie in your very funny voice. He can't keep it together at all. And he says in it and I feel like it was improvised like "Please never stop reading this." It felt like that was a Max line. -Hannah
There were moments I was improvising...There's something about a dude named Rallo that I mention and that was not scripted...I try to mention an old black dude named Rallo in everything I do. That's the one time it made it in...I probably said the name Rallo 50 times on New Girl in improvised takes. -Lamorne
Nick calls Jess a ninny in this episode. Do you know what a ninny is?...I do. It's short for nincompoop. -Zooey
..Nincompoop is such a great word. You don't have to shorten it. -Hannah
It's a great word. You don't hear it very much. It's like a very old-fashioned word...She wants to murder someone and also eat a soft pretzel. That feels really accurate. -Zooey
It also like sets a foundation so deeply for the rest of the series for the audience to understand how deeply these men love each other...And I just feel like that was something that just set up so much comedy then and so much stuff that was understood by the audience and for the rest of the series. Which is why it feels so important to the show. -Hannah
I gotta say that was one of the more um interesting things about my character development. -Lamorne
