I Am All In Rewatch - Jess & Rory - Episode 3x8 (Part 2)

Now everybody's awkward. I mean, did you feel the weight when they got up into his apartment and they were standing, did you feel the weight of, Oh God, what do we do now? We we have the thing that we want, now we don't know what to say to each other?  He had a good he had a really he had a really good line. You share. I'd really like to get you a coke because I don't want to stand here like a moron, you know, I want something to do...Yeah, because it made me think several times when those two are together, like what do kids do when they're really in love with each other? Well, they touch each other, they make out. This is what they did. This is what is done. This is what everybody does. They want to get in a room alone and touch each other. That's what they did. That's great...And uh and I loved you know, I think all that tender stuff and that awkward and the almost first kiss and then Luke busts in and that's really all that scene was is set up for that scene, you know, Luke, Luke laying down the law....We want to see these people, these two characters in their world. They create this bubble world of love and want and longing and all that, but they exist in the world of rules and adults and people that will punish them. There are consequences. So the layers were were laid on quite I thought effectively and art artfully....great scene -Scott

This episode is so good tonight. I’m cackling.

Jenna Mindy had written this scene for me and B.J., and we couldn't get through it because we kept laughing about it. It was so funny to us, this dialogue. But then people really liked this bickering, and so it's going to continue. But it kind of started here over this thing about the breadsticks.

Angela Yeah, I feel like this one is the one that knocked it out of the park, but you guys have always bickered a little bit here and there.

Jenna It's true. It's true. But now we're really going to start amping it up.

That's the funniest joke of the scene by the way. Well you only answered one question and you answered it wrong...I thought that was a very funny joke. -Will 

You know, I would hang out and then I'd leave when you'd go back to work. So this time I got to see, you know, Jenna, you and John as Jim and Pam. And I was super impressed. I mean, you guys just made it look so easy. It was so seamless. That was a real exciting moment for me. And I all I thought was I hope I can, you know, hold my own in the scene with these two. Yeah. I remember that because you and John were friends that John was really trying to make you laugh. A lot. Like he was, he was, like, coming for you. Yeah, he was laying it on pretty good. And it was really it was hard. It was hard to to not break. If I looked over at him, because he was- he'd hold that pamphlet up and just his eyes would be looking at me. And it was hard not to break, but we did it. I think we did break a few times, didn't we, Jenna?  We did. Yeah, it was, it was difficult because he was definitely- He was milking it. Oh no. Well, I remember when we were doing that scene, Lee. None of that stuff at a certain point was scripted. The writers on set were just throwing out phrases for you to say or for me to say to get reactions out of John. -Jenna & Lee
