I just want to say I'm really impressed with me and John in this episode and our giddiness over our daughter. We did not have children yet, either of us. And I thought we really seemed like parents. I feel like we're told stories how parents do. Parents really are, like, so tickled by the little things that their kids do. And we had no experience with that yet. But I like I think we did so good. I had to remind myself that when we shot this, we were still childless in our real lives. -Jenna
Angela Well, the fact that Dwight is the baby whisperer is the best news Pam has had in a long time.
Jenna Oh, yeah. She won't let him put baby Cece down.
Angela Yeah, she's like, Cece can sleep. I'm going to get my life back.
Jenna Yes. Also in this scene, you know, Cece is awake. It's evening.
Angela She's reverse cycling.
Jenna Yes, she's up all night. Which means Pam's up all night.
Angela Well, before we're done closing out this reception, there was a deleted scene I'd like to talk about that happened at the reception. It was sort of the end of the day and a lot of people had left, and Jim and Pam finally got the small, intimate gathering they were hoping for. And Jim gives a really sweet speech.
Jenna Yes. We did all of these exterior scenes outside this church in heavy wool coats pretending it was fall because this aired in November.
Angela Yeah.
Jenna But luckily it was only 83 degrees. But still, when you watch all of these scenes outside the church, just know that we are very hot. We did not put a coat on baby Cece on purpose. We did not want to overheat the baby. But Pam is in a wool coat.
Michael loses control of his balloons. They start popping. And then a baby starts crying. A baby. Cece. Erin has brought Cece and is standing in the back of the theater. Andy is so happy. He says, She's a terrible babysitter. Real good. Jim and Pam are so ticked off, they're going to take Cece home. Pam says they won't ever be leaving the house together again. Yeah. This is our first time getting to meet little baby Cece. What a cutie. We used twins for Cece. They were Sienna and Bailey Strull, and they played Cece for the bulk of the show. They were just the sweetest kids. Their parents were wonderful. I just loved these girls. When I saw myself holding that little baby, I mean, I held those girls a lot. A lot. I was with them a lot. You spent a lot of time with them, too, off camera, so they'd be comfortable with you. Yeah. You were so great with them. Oh, I would love to see them again. I know. Wouldn't that be amazing? -Angela & Jenna
Well, now Jim is talking to Pam on the phone. Pam is telling him little stories of baby Cece. She sent him a picture of baby Cece all dressed up for the holiday. That photo on Jim's computer at 4 minutes and 14 seconds was Charlie Grandy's new baby. Our writer. But Randy sent me the original photo because our graphics designer, Henry Saine, actually photoshopped the little green outfit onto the baby. It was not wearing that originally. But you might also notice in the scene at four minute, 35 seconds, you can see a photo of baby Cece on Jim's desk. And that was also Charlie Grandy's baby. So on Pam's desk, baby Cece is your sister's child, Cece your niece. Yes. But on Jim's desk, baby Cece is Charlie's baby. Yes. Two different babies. Soon we are going to cast a set of twins, these two girls, to play Cece and they are going to then grow up with us and we'll be putting their pictures on our desk. -Angela & Jenna
