Jenna It really was. It was special because Greg filled this scene with so much of our crew and our Office family. You know, Greg created a type of yearbook for us. And when I was rewatching the finale and in particular this scene, I saw all those familiar faces and I was so grateful to him that we have these people on camera.
Well, yeah, it's funny. It's that all in thing, right, which I again I can understand from like a really young, naive sweet dating relationship. Right. They said they're all in. They're not going to be roommates with living with two other dudes. They're choosing each other, they're committing, they're going to run away, they're going to start a new life. And he's the dreamer, right, So he's just like stuck on it and he's just like, look I'm here. By the way, he was not in some like weird, crazy, terrifying jail he was in just sitting in like the you know, probably the general manager's office ..and then going like, I'm committing I'm choosing you. I'm gonna shred this passport. We're not going back, as we'll follow up. The fear is just like in all relationships, there's usually an undercurrent of some whatever worry and his big worries if we go back, we're never gonna make it, like our relationship won't make it. So we're choosing each other. We have to cut ties with every other thing, and in true absolutely insane, over the top fashion, he's like, I'm gonna shred my passports so i cannot go home. -Hannah
ANGELA I did love when Jim's like, 'Well, the whole reason I'm back is to, you know, be with my wife. And Clarke goes, 'I'm here to sell paper. And he, like, taps his desk. That's what I'm here for.'
JENNA That was such a great line.
And then he watches Jess goes so far out of her comfort zone that it kind of gives him some courage to go out of his comfort zone and just speak from the heart, and he is honest. I thought that was really nice, Like that line he says right at the end where he's like I don't know if he was like a good guy or a bad guy, where he is like in the spectrum of humanity or whatever. He says, He's like, I just know I'm gonna miss him, Yeah, And I thought that was like a real sweet like way to end the whole thing without it feeling contrived or fake or saying things that weren't true. -Hannah
Well, and what a cool reference for the episode because that's essentially what Nathan and Hailey are trying to do this whole time. And it's not lost on me that everyone's figuring out, you know, what stories to share and, and who they're gonna be. And if they can really pass a test like Alex finding more of herself and being respected for her ideas and her intellect with Julian, Nathan having to look at Hailey and say, if you know me, if you actually have faith in me, if you know the man I am, you know, I didn't do this. -Sophia
