This should be illegal 😩😭
Would you ever have thought,
Given where we started,
You and I would chance to meet?
Never in a million years.
Saw this in the park on my run yesterday. When I googled it, the event page just said it had already ended. I'm going to pretend that there's an entire event in Chicago just for Luca Marinelli.

Luca’s character in Jeeg Robot is a delightfully unhinged feral murder baby and there are not nearly enough videos of him so I made a thing.

I’m freaking delighted by the idea that with The Old Guard 2 shooting in Rome, Luca Marinelli is just thoroughly in his element.
I’m sure it was affectionate ribbing, but he got roasted so many times by his cast mates in those long days of mind-numbing presser interviews promoting the first movie, teased for language and tech lag barriers, spaghetti jokes… even IMDB has relegated him to “All Cast” so he doesn’t make the cut as “Top Billed Cast.” It’s sad.
So him being in his home country, in his home town no less, and seemingly inundated with talk show requests, musical guest spots, celebratory film revivals, and in-demand at all manner of events really seems like a nice balancing of the scales. Like a ‘no, seriously, people really do know who he is, and he’s kind of a big deal’ moment is nice vindication… even if he’s not a household name abroad, they’re on his turf now.

I want you all to know that in his interview last night Luca said that he's a good swimmer but he can't swim out at sea because he's afraid of fish
