Chloe and Lucifer telling each other that they love each other
c’est la vie c’est la mort you and me forevermore
your heart is my favorite place to be held.
#supportive boyfriend
You deserve someone worthy of you and that isn’t me. That’s not what I’ve been saying, Lucifer. I know. It’s what I’m saying.
This is what he got me for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t know that my future husband was THAT cheap. I am not cheap. That diamond is of the highest quality. Is it? Is it of the highest quality?
[…] And sometimes, it isn’t the right moment in someone’s life to make a certain choice. And no matter how badly you want to nudge them in the right direction… you know they need to find it on their own. And some people find love in the strangest of situations, and are, somehow, happier for it. And some, no matter how you shake things up, end up making the same choices, are drawn to the same people, the same passions.
Please don’t go, I… I love you. I love you, please don’t leave.
You think you’re very funny.

i wanna talk about the 1x09 piano scene and why it will forever remain one of my favorite scenes in the show.
i think a lot of people see this scene as lucifer being taken aback by someone finally caring about him and his wellbeing - and i fully agree. however, i think there is way more to it.
what i love about tom ellis' performance of lucifer is that as the show goes on it becomes clearer and clearer that lucifer is putting on a mask and that his playboy life is all a facade. i think chloe is the only person who knows that and pushes past it. she cares about him and wants to know him as a person. i think the first time the mask slips is 1x04, when she sees the scars. but i think 1x09 is the first time she realizes he is coming onto her as a way to mask his pain and she doesn't let him do so. that's why this particular moment is so good:
you can actually see how she broke through his walls and the 😏 version that he presents of himself to hide just melts away. and he is taken aback because no one else has ever cared enough to look this closely and really see him.
THIS is what the showrunners always meant when they say chloe knows lucifer. not that she always knew he was the devil, just that she always understood his character and wanted to as well.
