Hi! Thank you nonny! Sadly there is no regular posting schedule because my ability to produce words consistently is determined by Diary!Tom and he isn't very cooperative. He gets really upset when I try to move the plot forward because it means he has to feel things so he just kinda digs his heels in a lot until I figure out how to trick him into accepting my will.

But if I ever get this little lovesick moron under control, I'd like to update at least monthly. More if the words will come. I'd like to finish this fic before its Young Tom's age.

I use several. Primarily Google Docs (I don't really rec this because I heard a while back that Google could take your stuff from you? or people can report your work and Google can wipe it? But that's if you share things. I'm very careful about who I give access to my stuff.)

I also have Scrivener, which has a bit of a learning curve to use, but that's where I keep a lot of things organized and its my main back up, I guess.

Working versions, Google Docs. Final drafts, Scrivener.

I haven't used Scrivener 3 as much since it came out for Windows, so idk if they fixed the copy-paste formatting issues I used to have trying to c-p things into fanfic editors for posting, but that's primarily why I wound up using two programs.

Google Docs is also a little easier to use on the go, and I write or edit on my phone a lot if I'm having trouble sleeping or if I wanna work on stuff when I'm not home (work breaks, waiting rooms, etc.).

So it really depends on what you need out of a writing program?

I wind up using a lot of spreadsheets as well for my complex fics as well, but some writers never touch a spreadsheet. I used to use a ton of written notes, graph paper, lined paper, color coded index cards and post-it notes.

Depends on the story. Depends on the complexity. Depends on the headspace. You know?

You're 1000% not badgering me, dear one. Life is getting in my way and I'm trying to start up a side hustle to give me some financial freedom/wiggle room so I hopefully have more time for other things, and I always get bogged down in the winter unfortunately.

I've been trying to update for weeks there's just never enough time or mental clarity in the day. 💚 But it's def on my todo list and I'm actually going to put it in my productivity app so I get reminders more often 😅

Nahhh it just means I'm a little blocked working on the backlog rn and irritated with the fic so I want to punish it like the unruly child it is :)

That's the goal bestie, I've worked on the next chapter here and there, it's just not talking to me as much as Diary does and it's hard to switch between Diary and other fics since it's such a big project. But it's on my to do list <3

Also not really because we're technically not supposed to be on our phones as much as we are. But we all do it because we have a lot of down time since it’s not a busy location.

I have tried being boring back. She always has another story that she will fully interrupt you to start telling you. You can totally shut down when she starts talking over you and she'll be too excited about her own bullshit to notice you not giving a fuck. You can try to circle back, she'll do the same thing again.

It's obnoxious.

I fully ignored her half on purpose earlier bc of fic and counted to 10 before pretending to realize I'd just noticed she'd said something and was waiting for me to acknowledge it. I did not apologize. I immediately resumed stairing at my phone after a half assed "right" in response to whatever she said. I fully wasn't listening. She kept talking.

One coworker fully tells her to shut the fuck up and she will clam up if told but that’s unprofessional and awkward so I am trying to be gentler about it. But fuck am I tired of dealing with her.
