How’s Camp NaNoWriMo going?
You know, for those of you doing it? Still wishing I could have made time for it and working on an outline for a possible Camp NaNoWriMo July project.

I never thought to wonder about this, but this was an interesting and amusing read.
The Art of Storytelling - a Pixar class on Khan Academy
What makes a story great? What makes someone a good storyteller? Storytelling is something we all do naturally, starting at a young age, but there’s a difference between good storytelling and great storytelling. In this lesson you’ll hear from Pixar directors and story artists about how they got their start and what stories inspire them, and you’ll begin to think about what kinds of stories you might want to tell.
I’d like to apologize to the backlog of Open University classes I promised myself I’d take, clearly this is the next class on my continuing education docket.
Book Three Cover Art Reveal!
The Grown-Ups’ Crusade is coming March 2018
WE’RE MOVED IN. (Pretty much almost completely.)
Now I can start recovering my Camp NaNoWriMo project, right?
25,000 words down... 25,000 to go.
I have only just discovered Rubyetc, and I love him
I’m so used to filling my tumblr up with all sorts of lovely things I find on the internet, but I just haven’t been ON the internet. On the upside my IRL life is going pretty awesome and I’m almost done with DRAFT THREE OF THE NEVERLAND WARS THREE. So I’ve got that going for me.
Just a reminder, Dr. Derosa’s Resurrection is available on tapas.io for your reading enjoyment :D
February was hard. I’ve been writing. I’m still writing. I’ll be kind of an internet hermit until April I imagine, but I thought I’d pop by and say hi. I’ve been meaning to share this quote for a while. I hope wherever you are and whatever you are writing, it is going well and coming out like music.
Whoever color-coded this knew what they were doing for us visual-based learners. Great advice I’ve seen before, and come back to often. Because you can always find better ways to achieve rhythm in your writing.
It is with great joy that I announce my first young adult science-fiction book is NOW AVAILABLE through Tapas Media!
For Lindy Derosa, being the daughter of a mad scientist isn’t much fun. When her father was arrested for stealing cryogenic freezing technology in Trongodia, she was forced to immigrate from Asia and stay in Seattle with her Uncle Bruce—or rather, stay at the boarding school he put her in. This humdrum life at boarding school is left far behind, however, when Lindy discovers her father’s secret laboratory and the scientific legacy he left behind. Lindy will uncover the ugly conspiracy behind the mysterious plane crash that killed her mother, and find out that everyone in her family might be a little crazier than she ever realized. A bright young woman, Lindy knows that when life gives you a super-villain origin story… you roll with it.

Oh, oh, oh! I just found this post online about The Neverland Wars:
"Books are incredible. While this mess of an election is going on, I'll be spending my evening in Neverland with the fairies and mermaids and flying away from my problems"
Art, for me, has always been able to give me a little distraction from society and a chance to recharge my batteries. The world is a project that's never finished, so no matter how much or how little progress we're making, it gets tiring to keep fighting the battle.
I realized early on that I spent most of my time exhausted and bitter when I tried to work on the front lines of that battle. I've focused on writing instead, and it is so wonderful to know that the products of my energy and happiness found someone tired of the fight, and gave them the joy and reprieve they needed for an evening.
I love you all. Go watch beautiful movies, read good books, and listen to inspiring albums. Stay sane and stay happy, my friends <3
Some days in NaNoWriMo, you write; some days in NaNoWriMo you look up quotes on why to write. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been at the game, you’ll ALWAYS end up on quote websites sooner or later.
Fortunately, NaNoWriMo is breaking up this uncomfortable cycle that seems to have set in over the course of October...
This is exactly the process and it is exactly this colorful, unnerving, and disturbing.
