why had he never appreciated what a miracle he was, brain and nerve and bounding heart?
Ron Weasley. How to be confident, awkward, proud, shy and uncomfortable all in two seconds.
Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end. If not always in the way we expect.
“Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?”
“…I think the answer is that a circle has no beginning.”
…though we may come from different countries and speak in different tongues, our hearts beat as one.
FEMALE CHARACTER MEME: [6/8] lily potter
“You think the dead we loved truly ever leave us? You think that we don’t recall them more clearly in times of great trouble?”
“I hated the lot of them: my parents with their pure-blood mania, convinced that to be a Black made you practically royal… my idiot brother, soft enough to believe them… that’s him. He was younger than me, and a much better son, as I was constantly reminded.”
Harry Potter + Book Moments
Harry must have had more haircuts than the rest of the boys in his class put together, but it made no difference, his hair simply grew that way - all over the place.
Very smart owl you’ve got there. Arrived about five minutes after you did.
“Harry, let go of him,” he heard Fudge’s voice say, and he felt fingers trying to pry him from Cedric’s limp body, but Harry wouldn’t let him go. Then Dumbledore’s face, which was still blurred and misted, came closer. “Harry, you can’t help him now. It’s over. Let go.”
“There’s nothing you can do, Harry-” “Get him, save him, he’s only just gone through!” “It’s too late, Harry-” “We can still reach him-” Harry struggled hard and viciously, but Lupin would not let go. “There’s nothing you can do, Harry…nothing…He’s gone.”
Harry’s biggest fears/weaknesses (if you would call them that?): • Not been able to do anything to help, especially if those he loves or cares about are in danger and mortal peril. • Losing people he loves and cares about so often and not been able to stop it.
In summary: Accepting people have gone, realising there is nothing he can do to save them, and losing more people he loves are Harry James Potter’s Achilles Heel, and I think that is both noble and tragic! Also the parallels in this post are so heartbreaking, and Daniel’s acting is amazing - I cry every time!!
