Next we see flashbacks in the Dark World about the Weird Route. Noelle fills up nearly the entire panel by screaming in absolute, over-exaggerated terror, while the poor little Maus she's screaming at just goes "squeak" in normal black text. Both of them enjoy reconnecting. Kris just has different ways of showing it, rather than being soft and sentimental like Noelle.

Namely, by being goofy as hell in a way we rarely see when she isn't there:

There's no way Kris doesn't enjoy spending time with her. I think they missed her just as much as she missed them.
