Mirasta Yale/Kira Nerys
Oh MAN this could totally work. I could definitely see Mirasta ending up on DS9 at some point, and I think she and Nerys would hit it off - Nerys is willing to give Mirasta the unvarnished assessment of the Federation that has been scarce otherwise, and Mirasta wants to learn everything she can about Bajor and the Bajoran people.
and both of them have absolutely no patience for the established rule of law. they’re both all-or-nothing big risk takers, and they’re both good at speaking truth to power (most of the time). mirasta’s sense of wonder and adventure would appeal to kira because it’s so well tempered by a healthy dose of cynicism and rebelliousness; kira’s sheer guts would make mirasta swoon -- and then the fact that she’s not just a jock, but a savvy strategist and engineer, and also has a broader ethical system and attachments to religion and poetry. and they’d make an unstoppable team in wartime.
and best of all jadzia would be head over heels for mirasta too. i think i have a new ot3.
