5,000 words of 'Attached' meta.
Does what it says on the tin!
Those of you who know me, like, at all know that nothing drives me crazier than a superfluous or poorly-executed romance plot, that I have a high bar for romance plots, that I cannot stand manipulative will-they-or-won't-they leading man/leading lady scenarios, that in general I think Star Trek is the absolute worst at romance, and that I'm just not huge on heteroromanticism in general. Given these things, my full-throated endorsement of 'Attached' should be testimonial enough. And yet, I wrote several thousand words about it anyway. Because it's so long, I have bolded key points, if you just want to read for the tl;dr.
n/m just casually gorgeous in an alien prison cell
as my self-care act of the morning i am watching 'attached' in bed because guess what, snowday, assholes, so anyway the point is that i have officially reached the point where i have seen this episode enough times that i'm totally comfortable with my feelings about these morons having breakfast together but i'm pretty much ready to go to pieces over the fact that beverly eats her plum for some fucking reason by cutting individual slices out of it one at a time
the knowledge of fruit-quartering is lost to the twenty-fourth century
for the full experience of what this has done to me, i invite you to stare at this pixellated ultracloseup:
i'm not fucking kidding this has moved me to tears
