5Crowns Weekend - Sigurd
The event I waited for so long!
After months without an event for him only, I was starting to feel abstinence of Sigurd in my life! hahaha
Well, here we are! Four UKT events and now, for the first time, a 5Crowns Weekend entirely dedicated to him, who became my favorite prince - despite all the controversial feelings the fandom uses to show towards the character.
Misunderstood in his essence, sometimes mistreated, sometimes rough and surely knowing where to pinch to hurt, dear Sigurd Snake in the Eye had a premature end at the show, at least, in my opinion. Many of us, Fairy Muses, had our hearts broken by such an earlier end, but here we are to rewrite his story and give him a proper continuation as it was supposed to be! All the love to our sweet prince Sigurd, star of this weekend!
And here is a little bit of story - just because haha. Dear Sigurd was pretty much more than what we had from him in this show - and gods, I wish sweet David had the time to show us everything. It would have been a HUGE storyline! Sigurd Snake-in-the-eye (from the Old Norse: Sigurðr ormr í auga), according to the Ragnarssona þáttr (The Tale of the Ragnar’s Sons) inherited Zealand, Scania, Halland, the Danish islands, and Viken at the time of his father’s death, also succeeding his brother Halfdan Ragnarsson (a.k.a. Hvitserk at the show, btw) as king of Denmark in about 877! Wouldn’t it be a HUGE thing? There is more! Sigurd married Blaeja, the daughter of king Ælla of Northumbria (that appears in the show as Judith’s sister and, unfortunately, was forgotten due to Sigurd’s death) and they had four children: Álof Sigurðardóttir, Þora “Tora” Sigurðardóttir, Áslaug Sigurðardóttir, Helgi Sigurðarson. The last one briefly succeeded his father as King of Denmark before being overthrown by Olaf the Brash in about the year 900. (Source: Wikipedia)
What a frick of a plot, hun?
I think my reasons for loving this character are pretty explained, but if it’s not enough, then check out on David Lindström’s profile on Instagram (here!) and then, everything will be easily understood: the guy is a prince! The Sweedish actor - who also acted in Blå ögon (2014) and Beck (1997) and is now preparing to release Tsunami on the Swedish SVT - shows himself a complete artist, acting (TV and theatre), singing, and composing!
Born on January 2, 1995 - currently at the age of 24 - David is now coming into the music world as DayFelice with his new album to come and the already released single named “Autumn” (that you can enjoy right here on Spotify!). His style includes Piano as the main instrument, but you can also see some videos, shows, and stories at the Instagram showing he plays more than just piano and guitar, what makes the boy really amazing!
Not only a complete artist, David is also incredibly gentle with the community of his fans, answering them at Instagram, engaging in conversations and showing all the sweetness of his self for us to enjoy - the reason why he became one of my favorite artists and why it is so pleasurable to me to work in an event for this character in special!
