I apologize I don't know how to put links on the answers while I'm on the app. With that being said if you google "dorm magic/witchcraft" it has a ton of interesting tid bits of info for working magic without candles.

Ok I am just going to throw some ideas that you could possibly use as a substitute for a candle: led battery operated candles (you can get the color changing ones and align the color with your intention), an oil diffuser, drawing a candle on a piece of paper and writing your intention on it (you can color it as well) and once you are done with the spell you can either rip it to shreds, bury it or dissolve it in water. There are a lot more possibilities for substitutes for using candles in magic.

You could also use a bowl of water and add herbs to it that go along with your intent, with that you can write up a petition paper or something like that and soak it in the water.

Something I've noticed

For the past 3 nights I have been drawing a card from The Enchanted Map Oracle deck for contemplation before I go to bed. Last night in particular after drawing the card, I was having a conversation, through messneger, with my sister and I start hearing my spirits chiming into the conversation. Truthfully it was a first for me and I was freaking out, in a awesome way. I have a rather large spirit family and most of my spirits pop on when I call them but otherwise they are somewhere else, which is awesome, but a few of them stay around all the time. With that being said last night the info that they were telling me to tell my sis was mind blowing! Stuff I didn't know before came spilling out onto the keyboard and it made sense. (We were bouncing spell creation ideas off of each other).

Maybe I'm just a bit slow to the party but that experience was freaking amazing!!!

I also came to the realization that I wont atm feel their prescense I will hear them speak and know and get a small visual of them. I say that because for a long time I thought i was failing cause I couldn't feel them around me. I was so focused on feeling I forgot my other senses. I FREAKING TEACH PSYCHIC DEVELOPMENT CLASSES I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT!!!

With everything going on right now and the changes coming I'm just a happy wizard!

So I came down with a cold the beginning of this week and for some reason the cold has increased my psychic sensitivity. Usually its the opposite but I'm not complaining. I have been thankful becuase I feel my spirit family pop in my space (like my desk at work or in the car on my way home) to see if Im feeling better.

I am a really horrid sick person but having my spirit family randomly pop in throughout my day makes the healing process easier.

One example of this is I was at work, all of a sudden my ears started to ring (its a sign for me when angels are near) and my third eye popped open and I saw one of the angels who is part of my family, his specialty is enhancing one's psychic abilities (I dont like saying things like "my" spirit cause they arent possessions). He came in to help me stay awake, I was falling asleep behind my computer. He was floating in diagonally going back and forth in my mind's eye and sometimes floating, well levitating would be a better word, upsode down to make me laugh.

My favorite thing about being a wizard is always studying new things and incorporating them into my practice. Also studying chaos magic one of my favorite images to pull inspiration from is John Constantine ... I know that wasn't part of the question but I felt I should share.

Through the Veil Challenge Day 14

So this is my first attempt at automatic writing in years. I never really perfected or practiced this way of psychic communication before. And since I am working again today perfecting it today is most likely out of the question. I tried to let go and let one of my spirit companions come through my pen but with the distractions around me at work, my mind wouldn't completely let go and let my spirit companion speak through me. So I am going to give it another attempt later one either today or tomorrow when I get home and comfortable and set up a sacred space, that may help my mind slip without worrying.
