Moon stares at the bouquet of flowers. He's never received flowers. Are these really for him? Villains don't get flowers, they get booed. The boogeyman doesn't get flowers, they get screams. The security bot doesn't get flowers, they get hit. Moon doesn't get flowers. Moon does what he's told.

With shaky hands, he accepts the flowers. These hands have crushed intruders. These hands have torn down walls. These hands scar the very metal they are made out of. Can he even hold such a delicate gift without crushing it? Can he accept such a gift? He's trying. Oh, he's trying. He wants to believe these are for him. Are these really for him? This delicate gift for a brute like him? "Appreciation"? For him? Not the villain or the boogeyman or the security bot or the hairdresser. But for him?

For Moon?

He presses his face against the flowers, relishing in the gentle smell and the way the petals caress his faceplate.
