I always hated how the FF Pixel Remasters look (anyone who's been here long enough might remember how much I whined about them when they were announced), and I especially hated what they did to FF6.

Well, I added a bunch of mods to FF6 and I think it actually looks pretty good now.

Updated visuals that don't compromise the style of the original.

@azuredragoonterra I didn't think to do a comparison until after installing mods and I can't easily turn them off since they rewrite game files, so here's screenshots of the base game from someone else's playthrough

Last month I caught Covid, and right at the start of my symptoms I saw this post. For the next 8ish days, I was HAUNTED by this song. It played on a loop in my head for hours. I would wake up in the middle of the night covered in sweat singing “…mixed with Zach Galifianakis” as it bounced around in my virus-addled brain. It was literally inescapable.

Anyway as soon as that ended, the Morbin Time memes started so you can imagine how that went for me, who would be deliriously sick for another 5 days.

The spiral is a holdover from Sanji’s original planned name. Oda was going to call him Naruto, after the ramen topping, which famously has a pink spiral running through it.

Fortunately/Unfortunately, before Sanji was introduced to One Piece, a different manga with a character named Naruto in it began serialization in Shonen Jump, so Oda changed the name.
