the fearmongering around transition is very ineffective for me as someone who already must contend with the medical industry for survival. "you'll have to take medication your whole life" I already do. "you'll have surgical scars forever" I already do. "you'll have to carefully word the narrative of your life and request documentation from other medical authorities to get doctors to take you seriously and even then they might not." so true--already the case.
the biggest difference between my experiences navigating medical shit for transition is that there are actually parts of it that are autonomously chosen by me & that have potential results I find exciting.
knowing that I might die if I can't access some overly expensive medication that insurance never covers doesn't make me feel like I have control over my body. there's nothing exciting about having to drug myself asleep every night. but reshaping my body intentionally and against the wishes of patriarchal power? that feels good.
lots of hard parts too, but the assumption that people can avoid dealing with the shitty & traumatizing parts of healthcare by not transitioning is so telling. like you think none of us are dependent on navigating these systems already? you think you won't ever be dependent on them? (you will be, btw. disability, like death, is inevitable)
given this reality, it comes across less as you wanting to save trans people from medicalization and more as wanting to prevent anyone from taking any control over the ways we are medicalized

In comparison the medical facets of my transition were straightforward

Do you know anything i can donate to for palestine that's not the gofundmes because the idea of having to choose who needs my money more is just. scary to me they all need it 3: maybe there's a thing that splits/distributes money evenly???? idk but help would be appreciated
Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it's randomized to help as many people as possible.
There's also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it's a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he's asked.

- Humid heat: clothes are drenched and will stay that way 24/7 until further notice. Sexualise it all you like; it gets old quickly.
- Dry heat: sweat evaporates so instantaneously that it's basically not there. Yes it's dangerous if not rehydrating, but keep hydrating and all is well.
This is exactly why humid heat is literally, measurably worse- sweating is how we thermoregulate. If sweat stops evaporating, much MUCH lower temperatures are dangerous
100F with 60% humidity is more dangerous than 120F with 10% humidity!

someone just brought in their unwanted pet rats to my workplace as a surrender. the catch is that i work at a RAPTOR FACILITY
