This is pretty simple but I made art of Secrects and Lies a bit ago! So here ya go

It would be funny if Light was terrified of bugs. Like I refuse to give more information but it'd be funny

He. Would scream. So. Loud. And at least 5 octaves above normal.

L absolutely loves creepy crawlies and spiders and I bet one day he brings in his glass tarantula enclosure, shoving it right in Light’s space, causing Light to panic, stumble and fall, bringing L flopping onto him and the glass enclosure shattering onto the floor.

In the midst of their entanglement, their arguing and the surprised shouting of the other task force members, the tarantula has escaped and is now somewhere in the task force HQ. Misa won’t stop shrieking as she affixes herself to Light, Matsuda won’t stop shrieking and has climbed atop the desk, Aizawa and Mogi have armed themselves with boots, a lighter and some air freshener, and Soichiro is standing next to Watari who has a dustpan and broom in hand, rubbing the bridge of his nose and thinking about calling it an early day.

L drags Light along so that they can go find beloved Watson, (the tarantula*) and Light is very much dragged along against his will, but he can’t object because:

1. It was his fault that Watson got loose in the first place. (He argues that if L hadn’t shoved it in his face he wouldn’t have reacted that way. L argues back that he didn’t know that Light was so afraid of insects and arachnids, but he tells him that he’ll remember in future. Light has to resist the urge of simultaneously punching L again and gnawing off his own hand.)

2. He’s attached to L by a handcuff and can’t exactly get away even if he wanted to. (L tells Light his percentage of him being Kira has went up because Light may have orchestrated this commotion in order to remove himself from the handcuffs and derail the investigation. He also tells him it went down and still remains at the same percentage as previously, because quote: “Kira wouldn’t scream like that.”)

So Light and L are now searching all over the task force building for Watson, Watari watching for Watson via the cameras and the other task force members have evacuated the building until Watson can be tracked down. L writes off the distraction from the case as an opportunity for Light to learn how to look for important clues in pinpointing a key target. He looks directly at Light as he tells him this. They scour every corridor, room, nook and cranny, but no luck. Watari can’t find any trace of him either. Light’s anxiety at suddenly coming across the tarantula has went down significantly, and L directs the task force members and Misa to reenter the building.

L asks Watari to bring him the snack he always has when he feels disappointed and Light feels a little bad as he’s the one responsible for Watson’s escape, so he tells L he’ll buy him a new (less terrifying) pet in the future.

Later on when everyone else is settled back in at work, and Light is focused intently on his screen, does Watson come crawling up the seat and across his lap. Light looks down and then launches a solid metre into the air like a Looney Toons character, shrieking louder than Misa and Matsuda combined. L gets jolted upwards with him and he scoops up Watson in his hands before he falls to the ground and just as Light passes out by his feet.

*yes Watson like Sherlock’s partner. Crazy that I can come up with a name for a goddamn tarantula but not a dog.
