Ariana and Cynthia are so fucking fun to watch because the exaggerated love for each other is laid on so thick that it feels false but it's not. I know it's not. That's Theater Kid love. It's intense and declarations of bestieship are made and then they are going to have a giant fight over something stupid in a few years and never speak to each other again. This dynamic is so sincere but absolutely a ticking time bomb. This is an ancient, powerful pattern. I have seen it many times.

Still thinking about Gelphie rising as a ship known in the popular culture. Do you think we can get the gays on this because of Ariana? Do you think we can get gay men to ship gelphie like how a lot of gay women ship m/m? Like men are still very wary of anything not a 1 or 6 on the Kinsey scale, they are surrounded by EEEEW PUSSY gay guy culture, but I know plenty of gay men who do have slight overall or highly conditional sexual feelings for women. I need everyone to work together on this. Okay. If you're not familiar with Wicked but are maybe going to see the movie, let me entice you: Wicked is SO GAY. Elphaba and Galinda literally have a song about how much they hate each other that is a mock love song. They are not normal about each other. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have clearly not only leaned into this judging by the trailer clips, but highlighted it, elevated it, and brought these two to sapphic heights never before seen in a movie of this budget.
It's time. It's time for an incredibly annoying femme ship. I want people to talk about Gelphie in the same breath they talk about Spock/Kirk or Harry/Draco. I want them to be EVERYWHERE. I want sitcoms to make jokes about the weird little 16-year-old daughter being really into Gelphie fanfiction. I want to hate these two. I did not know this.
I see this at a farm nearby where I like to hang with the goats, but the only time I’ve seen it captured on film was in that recent episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia where Sweet Dee got trampled in the petting zoo. I guess it is deeply disturbing and kind of underutilized in horror, but I still wish my eyes did that.
Like, seriously, why isn’t this in more movies? Why did I have to make the .gif myself?
In all fairness, human eyes do this too…it’s just harder to tell because we have round pupils instead of horizontal pupils.
