So the side story snippet I was thinking of was actually Eckhart being his usual overprotective of Ferdinand self, ('why wouldn't you poison test things you could die-') but I'd like to think that if it was Karstedt he might react similarly to this-

Now that I do know who my foggy brain was trying to remember, I'm definitely gonna do the 'trombe fiasco' where if I remember correctly Myne hides behind Ferdinand, and Karstedt is surprised a child would trust him that much-

I'll probably check that first to make sure I remember it properly though. Might do like a series of 'times when people were surprised such a small child looked to *ahem* the "demon lord" for comfort'/trusted him that much, since it's kind of adorable
