Chatting to an art friend who has also watched jjk and I was like, wouldn't it be hilarious if we both drew Gojo in a suit. As art practice.
Happy 25th birthday to Technoblade!
Also- I may or may not colour these later, but that's gonna take forever, so like...
We shall see.
Anyway. This is a bunch of some of my favourite Technoblade moments, all jumbled together in no particular order
Btw, most of these are direct quotes, (I only paraphrased, like. 2. I think-) since I spent a good deal of yesterday trawling the internet to find the originals. Feel free to ask if you want to know where something comes from! Though I think most of them are pretty obvious. Probably.
RIP Technoblade
Technoblade Never Dies!
:D
Read the latest chapter of bsd today! ..... I think I'm gonna go read bsd wan again-
Reading through the David and Goliath story this morning and only now really thought about the part where it says, 'Goliath was 9 feet tall, had armour weighing 57 kgs, carried a javelin that weighed 7 kgs,' (I'm paraphrasing btw, that's not the exact wording) which made me go-
That is quite the comparison.
I want to draw this now.
:D
Also been learning about manga panel layouts, so I decided to add some interesting perspective in pg 4 because I could.
:D
Finished watching the apothecary diaries recently :D
Definitely a new favourite anime,
And yes.
I already bought the first light novel-
(I tend to calculate my light novel purchases based on 'would I work _ amount of time to be able to read this?' and it was an absolute yes)
Maomao was the first thing to come to mind when I wanted to sketch something, then I decided to just go ahead and paint over the sketch instead of rubbing it out - to see what would happen
It worked out pretty well I reckon,
Also, if you are a fan of Ascendance of a Bookworm I would highly recommend this series.
Or just your average person honestly.
It's cool.
Fun fact- I now know how to say poison in Japanese!
Make of that what you will.
:D
I have been painting
:D
Day 5!
Genderswap!
Kylo Ren!
As a Girl!
Yeah!
Though the scenario isn't really specific to the genderswap, I think it'd be funny either way.
I feel like this scene should have messier hair honestly, but whatever.
'Ah, movie magic, become a protagonist today to avoid hat hair, remove your helmet with perfectly styled wavy locks-'
:D
Been doin some sketchy stuff~
I couldn't be bothered doing just gesture drawing today so I livened it up a little.
:D
I have been practicing my colouring skills~
Oh yeah-
I really like drawing loose, comfortable looking clothing, (particularly if I'm tired) so pinterest is very good at recommending me stuff like that,
And I just saw this picture and was like, you know what this reminds me of? CHUUYA~
And then used it for reference.
And no, he absolutely refused to wear the bandages, but Dazai's not giving him his hat and gloves back till he has sufficient blackmail material-
Ehehehe
Shading practice! Oh yeah-
I'm brushing up on my colouring and realism skills, so I figured I might as well draw Myne. I mean. The opportunity was too good to miss. (I like blue. Can you tell?)
This is if Myne lived in the Edo period.
Yeah.
(and yes, I know the book might be a little anachronistic, but I couldn't be bothered changing it)
Sandpit Saga
No. 5
After fiddling around a bit, I decided to do the 'serious' panels in colour since I can't print on watercolour paper, (I've been doing the lines digitally, -it's simpler to edit- also the toner repels paint so it's just a lot easier that way) and plain copy paper is kinda frustrating if you want to actually paint backgrounds. (It wrecks the paper very quickly). Anyhow, since I'm going for the 'graphic novel/filmnoir' vibe with these sections, they'll probably be digital starting with this one, with the others being in watercolour.
Yeah.
:D
Set directly after the last one,
The Visitor

Socialising. Yay! Myne’s favourite thing to do! She loves talking to people when she could be reading books! It’s great... Haha.. Wonderful in fact. Not frustrating in the slightest. She even has a game of shogi to lose! Whoohoo! Now, don’t get me wrong, Myne doesn’t dislike her cousin, but he likes talking about business. Not books. And talking means she’s not reading. Then again... Maybe she can use his business skills for something else? Maybe he knows how friendships work? They’re basically business transactions right? Myne isn’t exactly sure about that part, but she’s pretty sure she’s read about that being the case somewhere. Eh. She’ll figure it out.
Probably.
Fanart of ‘A Frayed Knot’ by JcFerggy
I actually did this a while ago, (for context, June last year-) but I didn’t have tumblr then, and I did not want the various relatives who follow my instagram account, (my grandparents included) to be concerned about why I was drawing someone whose eye had been clawed out. :) Yeah...
The premise for this fic is ‘think re-zero, but ascendance of a bookworm style ayy-’ the, ‘has the equivalent of a game save point but it keeps getting moved backwards, and oh yeah- the world needs some help to not die while we’re at it’
Anyway, I recently caught up to reading it again, (I would highly recommend it by the way, though a lot has happened since I drew this,) and I remembered, ‘Oh yeah! I have a tumblr account now! I should post that picture I did! The outfit isn’t really story accurate, I just really like the horror aspect of having a missing eye, and I had reference for a cool hanfu I also wanted to draw. If I remember correctly, she does have a cloak at the point this is set, but definitely not a hanfu.
The Adventures of Steve and Orphan
No. 57
Time for Steve’s plan, at long last we can finally see the tactical brilliance- the amazing strategy- the work of a master bodyguard and warrior of the mind-
Here we have the Steve’s Magnificent Idea
Bashing the guy’s head in with a rock.
Pure Awesomeness.
The Adventures of Steve and Orphan
No. 51
AAYYYY ACTION TIME!! RESCUE MISSION LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!
*Ahem.
As I was saying-
*snigger
Things are... Happening. Steve is going on a rescue mission! YEAH! (turns out Orphan has some pretty good ideas. Occasionally. Steve, as the mentor, obviously has better ones, but he will admit his apprentice deserves the credit for this one).
I AM SO PROUD OF THIS THING!!! IT TOOK LIKE 3 AND A HALF HOURS BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!!! (a good 30 minutes of that was figuring out how the pose I was going for even worked-)
I recently read this fic called Viridian, (and no, before you ask, this is not ‘Viridian, the green guide,’ the author of THIS Viridian is SilverMistAnimeLover on ao3) And it is GOOD.
A basic premise is: The APOCALYPSE. But wait! time travel! And thus we have our hero, who returns to his younger self, (The picture here is post time travel NOT said younger self- hence the stubble) in order to try prevent the timeline he came from, from happening.
Yay! *cheers *clapping
My description is a little lighthearted considering the fic I’m talking about, but if you want the blurb from the actual fic-
Then go read it. I can’t be bothered typing the entire thing out word for word.
*smiles sweetly
Anyway, I was listening to Crash by Noevaii and that combined with having finished what was written of Viridian the night before, (the fic is still being written, and I can highly recommend it,) prompted me to create this picture. Izuku’s outfit is a little more imagination than technically accurate, along with the scenario, but eh. I wanted to draw this. So... I don’t care. :)
(You can also see nomu in the background on various buildings, heh)
The Adventures of Steve and Orphan

Steve is home now, and that means what? *hoists sword-
TRAINING
Orphan has been taking it easy for way too long.
Not Anymore.
Steve is whipping his protege into shape and nothing’s gonna stop him.
:D
