I'm gonna try do as many different characters as possible, just because... I mean, I'm in a lot of different fandoms even if the main ones I frequent are ascendance of a bookworm and bungou stray dogs. I also read an unhealthy amount of mha fanfiction. (there's just so much in mha stuff! It's like a binge reader's heaven-) So this challenge is probably gonna go from mha to bsd to aoab to star wars to jjk to dsmp to demon slayer to I dunno. Death note probably. I want to draw L. Like, I just do. His overall vibe appeals to my artist sensitivities- Also wanna draw stuff from moriarty the patriot at some point.

This is technically day three since I realised I had unwittingly done the first two days, (a sad character, and drawing a character with glasses) just this last week. Which I thought was kind of funny,

I reckon Dazai just fits for this one honestly.

(if you look up coats in the wind then you get a lot of really helpful reference. Pinterest is a lifesaver)

I was planning on doing this earlier... Like, at the start of the month, but eh. Better late than never.

And here we have some sketches from my recent finishing of Bungou Stray Dogs! Chibi-ified! AAaayyy! 

-And since I’ve been learning Japanese for the last wee while, I can add captions in hiragana! ‘laughs in “Ohayou! Chibi~san!” “CHIBI~JANAI!!”- I technically spelt ohayou as ohaiyo in my sketch book but we’re just going to ignore that-

I’ve been trying to figure out how to draw a few of the main characters, but Dazai... I don’t know what it is about his face, but my brain is simply unable to comprehend proportions when I try draw him. Like. Chuuya. Is FInE! I can draw him with minimal effort! (When I say minimal, I mean the average amount of effort for copying an anime character-) Atsushi is also achievable! (I honestly haven’t drawn many of the other characters,- Ranpo is on my ‘going to try next’ list though,) But Dazai Osamu?!!! It just doesn’t work??

I have spent two weeks. Two Weeks. Trying to get this guys face right... And I managed it. Twice. Out of like, -I don’t even know how many attempts. 

*sighs in ‘rant over’

Anyway! It took a few months, -well a couple of weeks for seasons 3-4- but I finished watching Bungou Stray Dogs and story aside, I really like the clothes. Like, if I were ever to do a cosplay it would be from this anime. (TRENCHCOATS!!!~~~) from a character design/drawing standpoint, I really like Dazai, -even if I can’t really get his face right-. In a strictly, ‘I would never want to meet this kind of person in real life,’ kind of way. And a ‘I like characters with trench coats’ side to it as well.

I actually did this a while ago, (for context, June last year-) but I didn’t have tumblr then, and I did not want the various relatives who follow my instagram account, (my grandparents included) to be concerned about why I was drawing someone whose eye had been clawed out. :) Yeah...

The premise for this fic is ‘think re-zero, but ascendance of a bookworm style ayy-’ the, ‘has the equivalent of a game save point but it keeps getting moved backwards, and oh yeah- the world needs some help to not die while we’re at it’

Anyway, I recently caught up to reading it again, (I would highly recommend it by the way, though a lot has happened since I drew this,) and I remembered, ‘Oh yeah! I have a tumblr account now! I should post that picture I did! The outfit isn’t really story accurate, I just really like the horror aspect of having a missing eye, and I had reference for a cool hanfu I also wanted to draw. If I remember correctly, she does have a cloak at the point this is set, but definitely not a hanfu.

Steve is... Not doing great. Orphan managed to beat him in chess the other day, which is practically unheard of and unprecedented. Steve doesn’t lose! At least it shows Orphan is improving. Maybe when Master gets back they can talk about it, how much Orphan has advanced and all that... And how much better Steve is at teaching of course. Then again, he did learn from the best. (Master taught Steve everything he knows)
