Currently working to fix this cosplay up for Long Beach Comic Con as I've sent in an application for the cosplay contest! It's definitely seen better days, especially after the dye bleed incident, but I'm still very proud of it. It may not be the best Morag cosplay, but it is the best Morag cosplay that I've made so I wanna enter it into a competition! There's not too much I can do to improve it without completely remaking pieces, but it does need some repair and paint, especially the swords which have suffered heavy abuse. It's Thursday, so throwback to an Anime Expo long ago with our Zoids group! We used to try and organize a little gathering each year, it was great! Meeting other Zoids fans through my cosplays was a real treat. It was so much fun being Liger Zero, I really miss it. Don't exactly miss wearing the costume itself though, it was rather uncomfortable and people always ran into me lol. The plus about cardboard armor was that it was easy to replace. Perhaps one day I'll do another Zoids related cosplay. Rei Mii and Kotona were ones I've wanted to do for a while, or maybe another Zoid to work on my armor skills. Though I am also loving the character designs for the new Zoids Wild Zero, so maybe one of them too if the anime is good? I really like the way this cosplay turned out, I'm glad I finished it and wore it to AX! However, I don't think I'll be wearing it to another convention. It's pretty and got a lot of compliments, but it wasn't super fun to wear. After just a few hours I had a nasty headache from the wig ( which weighs about 2 pounds. That a lot of extra weight on the head). There must be a way to wear it that is more comfortable, or maybe I'm just too weak to be a Miku cosplayers XD Seriously idk how others do it. It's a shame too cause I wanted to cosplay Snow Miku's 2019 design with this wig, but I'm not sure about it now. From the Uma Musume gathering! We were the only 2 Uma Musume cosplayers that day XD Seriously though thanks to him for dressing up as Trainer for like 10 minutes for the gathering, it was great lol. I saw a couple Uma cosplayers last year, but this year there were almost none and it made me a little sad. It's such a fun and good anime, yet it just slipped through the cracks into obscurity as everyone moved on and forgot about it. I loved that there were still a few that came out to the gathering to chat about the show, it was nice. The cosplays I wore to Anime Expo! Crystal Snow Miku, Morag, Special Week, and Violet Evergarden! I overall had a good time at AX but there were some big ups and downs this year. The line fiasco day 1 was the worst of it, but there were other small things that irked me, like the professional photographers getting priority in front of people who had been waiting a while to use the sets. But I've heard others had much worse experiences with staff, so it seems we got off fairly easily. Anyways, I really enjoyed wearing Morag again for the Xeno gathering, just wish I wasn't so exhausted for it, I was a little out of it. Special Week was great, even if I was the only Uma Musume there that day. Well AX day 1 certainly was... A day. Waiting 3 hours in line just to get into the convention center was ridiculous. At least it was cool out. If this happened last year I think I would have called it quits on this con. I hope they get their shit together for tomorrow cause this was unacceptable, they should have had more staff + more entrances open to begin with given how many people they knew were coming. ....anyways, other than that it was pretty fun. Wore my new Miku but after the line was very tired of it, this wig is heavy! Had a back up, but lol yeah right was I leaving the convention after that mess. Got lots of compliments on it at least. Diamond - Land of the Lustrous/Houseki no Kuni From Anime Expo day 3! I expected this cosplay to much cooler, but of course it wasn't lol.
