Amaterasu was my third cosplay I ever made, made back in 2012, and the first to involve major sewing. My mom helped me make this with an old simplicity pattern for the kimono, cause I didn't know how to make a full fursuit lol. The mask was the best part of this cosplay, I still have it! Made from foam, ductape, cheap fur,fabric softener and paint, clay and model magic for the mouth (which did actually move, but not well haha). This cosplay also had her reflector that doubled as a backpack. Finished my Okami themed shoes!  I’m thrilled with how they came out. I struggled with what I should draw on the right shoe, but I think Chibiterasu and Dark Chibiterasu worked out pretty well. Now I have something to wear with my 3 Okami themed shirts XD

Dark Amaterasu Command Wolf Custom

I've been wanting to make a companion for my Amaterasu custom ever since I finished Okamiden. Finally got around to it, and I couldn’t be happier! Though I'd much rather have used a satin instead of a gloss black. But, my craftstore only carries gloss or flat, and I can't stand the way flats feels on my fingers. Anyways, I would have just left the markings plain red, but in the game it looks like it's glowing, so I tried to recreate that using some white. I’m very pleased with how it came out!

My Amaterasu cosplay at Anime Expo 2013, day 2. I didn't get many photos of it this time round. Though, on day 3 we discovered this really cool place, the gaming hall, where they had a bunch of nice sets for photos. One of them would have been perfect for this cosplay. I wish I had known about it sooner. Hopefully they have the same ones next year. I was pretty excited to take photos with these fellow Amaterasu cosplayers. I saw more on day 3, but I was in a different costume then.

Wondercon was so much fun! This was my first time going to Wondercon, and I really hope it'll come back next year too. On the first and third day of the convention (Friday and Sunday) I wore the Amaterasu Partial fursuit that I made. It was a lot of fun to wear, but I was pretty much dying when I kept the head on for long periods of time since it became so hot. Sadly, thats the downside to Fursuits, even partials.  But other than that it was enjoyable. A lot of people actually recognized what I was, and more people took my photo than I expected. Though, even after one day of walking around, my feet hurt. By the end of day three I thought my feet were going to fall off XD
