Lots done on Liger Zero Endless Waltz Custom

Phew I spent all day on this zoid, trying to make her as pretty as possible. I added the ligers boosters to the hind legs, made custom armor for its forelegs and then detailed it with teeny tiny brushes. When all that was done I went for the stressful part, adding color to the wings. I only have one set of these and the purple color is very bold against the white, so I had to be careful. I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. I still want to detail the wings more, add some silver panel lining and whatnot. Anyway let me know what you think!

It’s such a lovely colour combo. I have a Zero Custom gundam with similar wings but I haven’t decided what zoid I want to use them on :)

I haven’t done something proper for true form elma in a long time. She’s really fun to paint but also insanely hard. I really wanted to push myself with this one. More intense lighting, colors, shadows, etc. There are a few things I wish I did better on but I think it turned out good for the most part.

Zoids Liger Zero Ice Phoenix The fuzor combination of Snow Liger and Ice Phoenix, by fuzing, the liger gains flight capabilities.This zoid is capable of ground and air combat even at high speeds, armed with Snow Ligers melee weapons and the Ice Phoenix’s long range weaponry, it is a very versatile and powerful unit. Most of the ligers armor has been replaced with the Phoenix, and it’s long tail has been added to the ligers, to act as a stabilizer to assist the pilot control the extreme speed of this zoid. The power output of this zoid far exceeds the standalone Zoids, even large scale Zoids such as Iron Kong would be wise to steer clear of it.

Model description: Fuzing a Tomy Fire Phoenix with a Kotobukiya Liger Zero was not an easy task. The fact that I wanted to customize the crap out of the Phoenix didn’t help either. Anyway after fabricating some custom connection pieces and figuring everything out I have to say I freaking love this model. I honestly can’t decide if I love the Phoenix more fuzed or unfuzed, it’s just so friggin pretty. I had to switch some pieces around as they just didn’t work the same on an hmm liger as they did the original tomy one. For example the front and rear shoulder armor is actually swapped around from how it should be, and the tail piece is supposed to be on its back! But in the end this is one of my new favorites, even with how much space it’s gonna take up with these huge wings, anyway let me know what you think!

Zoids Ice Phoenix A custom made Fire Phoenix, upgraded in various ways and adapted for use in colder climates. The weapon systems for Ice Phoenix have been changed quite a bit, the Phoenix cannons have been swapped for Honoo pulse laser rifles, and small rear facing light caliber guns have been added as well. The wings have been heavily modified for extreme speeds and aerial combat. It’s feathers have been swapped with custom metal Zi and in addition have been mounted with two concealed laser blades underneath the outermost feathers, similar to those found on a Storm Sworder. The Phoenix has also been equipped with Wind Dancer Boosters to increase its already impressive speed even further. The talons have also been replaced with stronger and more useful claws. Fusion with the liger zero is still possible after these upgrades, however this Phoenix is more than capable of holding its own even amongst the most advanced aerial Zoids.

Model Description: Holy crap this was an interesting thing to make, it started out as such a simple idea, “zoid articuno” simple right? Nope. I just kept finding more and more things I wanted to do with this zoid, the wings have three points of articulation a piece. Closest to the body the can rotate and move up and down, the center of the wings, connected to the wind boosters have a hinge joint, and the other connection to the wind boosters allows the ends of the wings to swivel forward and back. I chopped off the Phoenix cannons which didn’t impress me much, and then cut apart it’s feathers and then repositioned them as you see now. That was a pain, I added new guns and custom made plexiglass laser blades too! I even experimented with gradient paint on the feathers which I think turned out great. Oh and I made it a long feather articuno tail which I love. As a result of my customizing this zoid is no longer capable of fusing with the tomy liger zero, it now is capable of fusing with the koto hmm liger zero however. Anyway this was a fun but time consuming and stressful model to make, let me know what you think!

I also tried the water effect on my niisanhi drawing and though it kills the quality it works really really well … //
