Kotobukiya blog posted these a little while back but I forgot to put them up here for fellow ‘fox HMM kit fans. Kotobukiya Shop are doing a limited run CP kit for the Shadow and Fire Fox kits. It’s due out in October, likely same day as the Fire Fox, and comes with both sets of custom chrome pieces. 

I know I’m going to wait to build my Shadow Fox now! Kimbo and I are going to split a kit so she can do her Fire Fox up with it too.

Great Saber HMM photoset with CP claws and teeth.

This was my first HMM kit to go all out on the detailing. I did a lot of panel lining with metallic paint and I think the effort paid off. I wasn’t intending to paint so much of the model but I was disappointed with the lack of contrast and colour on the unpainted sprues. I ended up using purple so it’s kind of Great Saber; Wakandan edition. It really looks like something right out of a Black Panther comic.

Then I decided I’d swap the CP kit for the standard Saber Tiger layout and broke part of the model. After some colourful metaphors and some glue, I got the Great Saber up and running again with standard kit out. I have a photoset I’ll upload later of that. In the end, having all that weaponry on the Zoid does basically limit any poseability so I’m kind of happy I swapped it out. Disappointed I can’t re-swap it.

Ah well. I have a Saber Tiger Gold with an unbuilt flying CP kit; and lesson learned; build the CP kit and leave it on. I might paint and detail my Saber Tiger Gold at some point.

Gundam Model Kits & Figures blog posted a lot of nice pics for the Firefox if you want to check it out. I notice ami ami has preorders up for 3,620 yen with an October release date. I’m not sure what’s going on in the background of the box art… to be honest it looks like energon cubes that are about to explode XD

The box art as far as I can tell is something that has been snared by the Fire Fox’s electromagnetic net gun, which is interesting because it really doesn’t see much use outside of the single anime occurence

O.O You’re so right! Man I totally forgot about that net gun as it has been forever since I’ve watched Zoids NC.  Makes sense now seeing the tail opened… not gonna lie, I still like the thought of everyone running away from exploding energon cubes though |D

HMM Firefox confirmed on Kotobukiya’s blog

Sample photos of a Shadow Fox variant, the Firefox, have been posted on Kotobukiya’s official HMM Zoids blog. As of now a tentative release date or price range is not known. This will be the first Shadow Fox variant produced by Kotobukiya.

AmiAmi has the HMM Iguan up for pre-order at 2,910 Yen and Kotobukiya has the official page up now!
