Origami Cran[E]s Realized I never posted much beyond a selfie of my 2B at Anime Expo, which is a shame since it was the cosplay of mine that got some of the best photos with my camera (and thanks so much to the friends that helped me take those photos! Especially since I love taking photos lol). I just need to post more here in general, but I'm so indecisive on what to post, and then I forget to post anything at all oops. I'd like to maybe post more of my older cosplays and photos here too, even if they're not as nice as my newer stuff. #2B #NierAutomata #Yorha2B #2BCosplay #AnimeExpo2018 #AX #AX2018 #YorhaUnit2B #Nier2B #Cosplay #cosplayer https://www.instagram.com/p/Brd_kAlDWuR/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10ic7gm2e4u04
Morag Ladair (Xenoblade Chronicles 2) - Anime Expo 2018!
The debut of my Morag cosplay! I barely manage to get this wearable late the night before, but it was so worth it! It was a lot of fun to wear with our Xenoblade group and at the Xenoblade gathering, despite it being the hottest day at 107F. The Xenoblade gathering was awesome, its the first gathering for the series I’ve been to and I was so happy at how many people braved the heat to join us! It was one of the highlights of the convention for me. Everyone’s cosplays were amazing, and there was another Morag cosplayer!! I hope to get the chance to have another Xenoblade gathering in the future! Though my Morag cosplay needs a lot of fixes and improvements before then lol.
Cosplayers:
- Maser Driver Rex - lordpaletuna
- Pneuma- galahad_the_pure

Anime Expo 2018 by Amsterdoodle Cosplay Via Flickr: Photos from Anime Expo 2018 in LA, July 5th-8th!
I’ve uploaded all the photos from Anime Expo to my flickr, including photos of our Xenoblade group and the Houseki no Kuni gathering! I’ll have all the photos of my own cosplays posted to my secondary blog, AmsterdoodleCosplay , soon!
It's the 2nd anniversary of Xenoblade Chronicles X!
Sadly I don't have anything new of my Celica cosplay, but I do have some photos that were never actually posted here. I can't believe its already been 2 years since I got to experience this awesome game! Despite its flaws I loved every minute of it, it was almost everything I ever wanted in a game. I hope it gets its sequel.
I really loved wearing my Celica cosplay too, even though it didn't get a whole lot of attention at conventions. But thats the downside of cosplaying obscure characters. Still, as disappointing as that is for all the effort I put into it, I am so glad I decided to cosplay her. I learned a lot from making this cosplay and always had a blast wearing it. I'd love to wear it again, though new and future cosplays take priority. I've got a lot of cosplans, and am definitely keeping a spot open for any Xenoblade Chronicles 2 characters I may want to cosplay!

I can’t go over how perfect @amsterdoodlecosplay ’s Estelle is. It was so good to see people still like Vesperia at anime expo lmao
It was so awesome seeing you in your Flynn cosplay, it looked awesome!!! Hope we get to do this again, and hopefully with more Vesperia cosplayers too!
Hatsune Miku- Dapper Day Fall outing 2016
Last weekend, I went to Dapper day at disneyland as Miku! I absolutely love wearing this outfit, its my favorite easy wear cosplay. However, the wg gave me some trouble this time round as I had to replace one of the clips in the ponytails. It wasn’t perfect and by the end of the day it started to hurt, but it worked and held up surprisingly well (even on a few rides!). I’m still looking for a better replacement clip though. Anyways, many recognized me and asked for photos, especially since this time I had the full wig (though with it I got mistaken for Arcade Sona, haha). I got so many compliments on this outfit too! The day was an absolute blast and I can’t wait for next Dapper day! I’d like to do something new for next time, perhaps a fancy version of Teto?

Inkling, School Uniform - Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con (Comikaze) 2016
This time round I wanted to make one of my other favorite outfits in Splatoon, the school uniform! I thought it was fitting for the fall time. It was mainly piece together, but I made the skirt and patch that goes on the sweater. And of course I brought along my Gold Dynamo Roller! Its a pain, but it never fails to impress. As for the convention, it was actually surprisingly good this year. Much better than Anime Expo at least. Parking on Saturday was pretty crazy, but after that it was enjoyable. Though, that was in part because we got lucky and didn’t have to wait in the ridiculous line, which I was thankful for as I had my Roller with me at the time. Carrying that around all day can get real tiring, real quick. And sadly, at the end of the day, the T piece that bears most of the weight cracked under the stress, so for now the Gold Dynamo is being retired. I think its time I make a smaller weapon to carry around anyways XD

Xenoblade Chronicles X- Celica (Long Beach Comic Con 2016)
Celica enjoying life in New LA
This convention was so much fun! I really enjoy wearing Celica, especially now that I’ve fixed the zipper XD I really love the pictures by the fountain. It was super bright out, but I think they came out great. I think it makes a pretty fitting background too!
Dimension W- Mira (Anime California 2016)
Ever since I saw the first episode of Dimension W, I immediately wanted to cosplay Mira! I really enjoyed the anime series, short as it was, and have been reading the manga as well. This cosplay was pretty simple to make, which was nice after finishing a complicated cosplay like Celica. The hardest part was probably The headpieces, which I made using worbla and styrene, held on with magnets. They’re a little wobbly cause the hair makes them slip, but when I used multiple bobby pins that went over the hair, they stayed pretty well. This cosplay was a great easy-wear cosplay. I got way more attention for it than I thought I would too. Unfortunately it probably won’t see too many conventions as I’ve got a lot of cosplays I’d like to do, as well as having a lot of cosplays to wear already. It’ll most likely remain a sunday cosplay or something to change into. I’d also kinda like to take it to disneyland for their halloween time, but not sure they’d be ok with the headpieces using magnets or not.
Xenoblade Chronicles X- Celica (part 2)
More shots of my Celica cosplay, this time with her dual guns! For most of these I was trying hard not to laugh. I’m pretty bad at keeping a straight face, especially when I need to for a photo. Thats why my default is just to smile. As sweet as Celica is, I don’t think she’d be smiling much weiding her dual guns in the middle of battle.
See the first set here!
Xenoblade Chronicles X- Celica (Anime California 2016)
I’m so excited to finally be able to wear this cosplay! I’ve been working on it for months, trying to get it ready for two past convention to no avail. But it’s pretty much done now and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! I think it is by far my best cosplay. It held up for the most part, though the zipper broke and the body suit had to be closed with safety pins, so it’ll have to fixed. But, it was very comfortable and enjoyable to wear despite that little issue. I can’t wait to wear it again at Long Beach Comic Expo!
How it feels to get blood drawn, honestly. Except I’m not smiling- I’m crying and shaking and miserable cause I have a phobia of needles. Makes for a fun photo though!
But really, even just looking at this makes me uncomfortable.

Anime Expo day 3- Vocaloid: Miku Hatsune (50s dress)
Check out my Cosplay page on Facebook!
I was originally going to wear Celica for Sunday, but after the bad time we had on Saturday I decided it wasn’t worth it. Instead I decided to go with my Miku cosplay since there was a Vocaloid meet that day anyways. Unfortunately all I had was a phone camera (that later crapped out on me) so these aren’t as nice as ones before. But, I’m just thankful they aren’t a blurry mess, like many of them ended up being. Luckily Sunday was so much better than Saturday was, so I’ll be heading back to AX next year! Sunday was actually enjoyable, with a good amount of cosplayers too. Still very crowded, but not to the point Saturday was, so it was tolerable and not at all stressful. Too bad Saturday wasn’t like that. I hope they improve things for next year, such as better organization, better layout, and especially better communication (especially with your attendees).
Anime Expo 2016- Inkling and Gold Dynamo Roller (Splatoon)
Check out my Cosplay page on Facebook!
I went as an Inkling in the Squid Girl outfit with my Gold Dynamo Roller on Saturday. I used a different style for the wig than last time actually sewing in the tentacles to a wig, and my ink tank is actually a backpack! Gold Dynamo got repainted and actually finished too, and I’m very pleased with how it came out! The Roller is heavy and bulky to carry around, but so worth it. I got a lot of attention with my Roller, and got called Squid Girl a lot too. I also went to the Splatoon meet which was super fun! All the other cosplayers were super nice, and we had fun with a few silly pics. Really hoping someone posts pics of the Roller group shot, since our photographer stopped taking pictures after a while.
However, Saturday was pretty bad. So bad, we considered not going again next year. What happened was we had to wait an hour to get off the off ramp, which is like a mile long at most. It was ridiculous. Plus, we could see the line to get the badge from there. It must have been over a two hour wait, partly in the sun. And that was on top of AX’s poor handling of my sister’s request for a professional badge (which she was eligible for last year, mind you). There were simply too many people, and AX did not prepare enough to handle them all. They were amazing last year, so no idea what happened this year. But they better step up their game, or start limiting the number of badges they sell, cause the area simply can’t handle it at the pace its growing. I really hope next year is better.
