Scarlett [Johansson] is just the most amazing, sweetest girl on the planet. We’ve done several, outside of the Marvel universe, we’ve done some other films together, and I always relish my time with her because she’s always so… She’s way smarter than most people think and an incredibly talented person, and she makes me laugh so much. She’s hilarious. You know, we used to spend time together at like six in the morning because we were in the same make up trailer. It was me and her, her music, her make up people and my guy, and it was the best time of the day for me. x
I love how he’s a big fan of her too.
Also, LOL at his T Shirt!
E.T., what about E.T.?
That moment when Jeremy realises he’s in his 40’s.
i love how they handle the ridiculous shit interviewers ask
Gavia Baker-Whitelaw, Every review of Black Widow in ‘Captain America’ is wrong (via stuffimgoingtohellfor)
Not only did we make one movie, we made- This is our fourth. And we’ve kind of known each other throughout the past ten years. Always were checking in intermittently. Seeing each other out. It’s company for us. It’s feels like you’re, you know, shooting with someone that has the best intentions for you. -Scarlett on working with Chris again
which superhero is the best looking?
What I love about this is how ScarJo looks like she is about to deliver the wrath of God on this interviewer. Evans heart-eyeing over Hemsworth stops her cold and she literally has to reboot because…”Oh really?”
*chin hands*
"Tell me more."
“She is a beautiful lady. She really got blessed. I love that girl, man. She’s like my sister. I’ve known her for 10 years. She’s just one of the smartest people I know. It’s great when someone with a razor-sharp intellect wants to have fun.” - Chris “He has this obviously masculine presence, a dude’s dude, and we’re used to seeing him play heroic characters.. but he’s also surprisingly sensitive. He has close female friends.. and you can talk to him about anything.” - Scarlett
That’s so darling. Don’t forget this one:
Scarlett Johansson responds to sexist questions!
“Is that inappropriate?”
You are a shining example of our culture’s sense of entitlement to women’s bodies.
Reblog every time. Making yourself tumblr famous, dude, and not in a good way.
I hate that she keeps getting asked these questions, but I love how she always pushes back.
Scarlett Johansson,
on the lack of romantic subplot in The Avengers.

Scarlett Johansson puts Extra’s interviewer in his place after he asks: Were you able to wear undergarments [under your suit]?
Scarlett #1
Actresses are asked such INANE, bullshit, “sexy” questions by male interviewers, thank god she actually calls them out
I love how Jeremy is just cracking up the entire time.
His face in the first one. It’s just so… “Oh god, you are in for it now. I’m just gonna look at my hands while she tears you open.”
My love for Scarlett Johansson just went through the stratosphere.
There is nothing not awesome about this, because not only does she say things that should be said often and more loudly, but Renner’s reaction gives it another layer of win. ScarJo is sick of this shit, and Renner knows you’re really gonna get it now.
I’m in hardcore lesbians with you.
I love this gifset more every time I see it.
Gay marry me, ScarJo
Have I reblogged this before? Well, too bad if so, I'm doing it again. ScarJo rules everything.
It was a while before I was even aware that there was so much negative feeling about Scarlett Johansson, both in general and in the context of Black Widow. People were saying that she was just there to look hot. People were saying that she was a token female. People were saying that she only had two facial expressions. Were these people even watching the same movie as me? The one where she saves the world? — The costumes and characters of The Avengers: Black Widow and Hawkeye.
This article is perfect. PLeaaaase take the time to read it.
“Most complaints or creepy sexist commentary on Black Widow’s costume/body/character say far more about the commenter than about Johansson’s performance itself. It’s almost like people don’t want to believe she’s awesome.”
^^^^^this
this a million times and very relevant to Ms. Lawson hatred as well.
The article is lovely.
Yes. Hawkeye had the least development and screentime. They were right on there.
Black Widow was very mishandled by marketing. The first poster I saw had the classic butt and boobs pose for her while the other heroes were in active action poses. The trailer was a clusterfuck of panting and eye-candy placement. Roger Ebert, whose reviews I usually love, gave a lackluster review to her because he didn’t bother to get a grasp on the characters before judging the ones who didn’t have super powers. It was all dreadful.
The movie surpassed the expectations of marketing here. Both of these characters were portrayed better in the movie than media set us up to expect. Black Widow, on at least three separate occasions, actively drove the plot forward in the movie. Her costume, while fitting, was not cringe-worthy clingy. Both she and Clint were dressed appropriately for their character, and even the front of her suit was not zipped down for the cleavage shots (which I see exaggerated in fanart constantly much to my ire). Natasha didn’t do all of the ridiculous butt and boob emphasized combat poses that were prominent in Iron Man 2.
Great article. If yo get a chance, read it (warning for some bits of abelism).
This article is fantastic, and anyone who says that Black Widow was just there to look hot has some serious preconceived notions about female roles in action movies to get over.
This whole series is great, and so far each article has been better than the last.
Scarlett’s stunt trainning for her role as Black Widow in Iron Man2
“Scarlett hadn’t really done an action role. And she assured me that she would work as hard as she needed to both get in sharp and do her stunts and learn all that stuff. She spent hours and hours and hours for months.By far the most dedicated actor when it came to stunt work and the physical work.” - Jon Favreau:Director&co-star
