Little practice doodle.
Mirehlian boys in their uniforms. These shoes are a very important feature in their dress code.
A little bit more sketching of my Mirehlian men. The previous post had kids in the Aku stage, which refers to the ages 12 to 14 in their language. These boys are in the So'Pi stage, 15 to 18.
The religious school, in white, has male and female students. However, Imilsha school (roughly translating to "loving man" school) only takes in boys who will play a very particular social role as adults.
On the bottom picture I included some ceremonial makeup from each side. Religious women wear red lipstick instead of black.
Actually, I really love Link because he reminds me so much of my Mirehlian (imaginary race) boys. Of course, these boys are way more androgynous.
Now that I'm on my summer break, I've taken some time to think. After my brother's passing last year, my perspective on life changed a lot; I have to do more out of this journey because I don't know how long or short it will be.
With nothing else to disrupt my mind, I've found some new clarity. I've realized I want my boys to be as appreciated a "my" Links. So, I'm going to draw them more often.
About this piece: the boys on the right belong to a differenct school from the one on the left. I'll talk more about this later ~
This is basically my "feel-good" couple right now. I've been drawing them to cope with personal struggle.
Hello, friends! Sorry I've been away. Being a teacher really takes a lot of my time away! And recently, on top of that, I'm also studying in the afternoons and have my internship on saturdays. I barely sleep!
Anyhow, here you have a drawing on which I posted a step by step some time ago. The materials used were chalk, brush and colored pencils.
ALBW Link, or as I call him due to my Link novel SHC, Albi.
Blue Link and Red Link.
