summary: armin is in desperate need of a distraction from his upcoming assignment. good thing you’re around to help him relax

since your initial visit to armin’s place he’s invited you over almost every day this week. he’s still shy around you, letting you take the lead in every interaction, but he's starting to open up more and more. he’s even asked you to officially be his girlfriend, which you eagerly accepted. most days spent with him involve kissing, cuddling, watching movies, talking about each other’s day and more kissing. sometimes he invites you over just for you to keep him company. he enjoys when you’re around. 

you lay on armin’s bed scrolling through your phone while armin sits at his desk, quickly typing away. he has a report due in a few days, but he wants to get it out of the way so he can maximize his time with you. since he’s an honors student, armin’s assignments are much more intense than yours. he often stays up late the days you’re in your own dorm to complete them. 

armin runs a hand through his hair and sighs as he reads his paper over again. he’s becoming frustrated since he’s struggling to meet the minimum page length requirement. your ears catch the sound and you look up at him. his shoulders are hunched over as he works on his laptop. his eyes are strained from looking at the screen, but he pushes through it. you know armin takes his studies seriously. you’ve mentioned before that it’s okay to take breaks from assignments when needed and come back to them later. as much as armin would like to do that, he’s the type of person who likes to finish tasks in one sitting. he doesn’t like to have work looming over him.

sunday starts off slow. you sleep most of the morning, thankful that you have no real responsibilities until tomorrow. it’s almost 11 when you finally get up to start your day. your dorm is apartment style- on the plus side you save money by not having to eat out everyday, but you do have to share your bedroom. after washing up you go to the kitchen to make breakfast for you and mikasa. your eyes occasionally glance at the flowers armin had gotten you the other night. they stand tall in a vase on the window sill. you’ve never received a bouquet before, it’s only natural for you to want to show them off. 

mikasa enters the kitchen soon after you finish preparing your shared meal. she thanks you as she takes your plates to the table so you can eat together. she’s made sure to change out of her pajamas, ready for eren to come over soon. he’s practically a third roommate since he’s over so often. mikasa asks if you have any plans today. you usually don’t do anything on the weekends, wanting to maximize the amount of time you have relaxing. just as you’re about to answer your phone buzzes beside you.
