Imagine the pain and fear Kuchel must’ve experienced when she was about to die.
How sorry she felt that she couldn’t offer Levi a better life than the one they had in the underground. She died thinking that he’d die as well, with no one caring about what happens to their remains.
She must’ve thought that she and her son would both die in this dirty and dark room amongst many. She’s must’ve thought about how long it’d take for someone to find them, knowing that there was no one who cared enough about them. She must’ve thought about how lonely and scared Levi will be while starving to death right next to her.
I wish Kuchel Ackerman would’ve known that life had other plans for her baby boy.
That Kenny came and saved him.
That Erwin introduced him to a reason to fight for a greater cause.
That he’d grown a pair of wings and learned how to fly.
That no matter where he was, he always managed to find a family and was surrounded by people who care for him.
That he’d get to travel a world which existence she had no idea of.
That he’d see things, both so beautiful and horrible, she could’ve never imagined.
