When considering the Leverage crew and potential superpowers, it’s easy to imagine Eliot as having super strength or enhanced healing, but the fact is that his strength comes through skill and training, and we see the scars of his injuries.

But what if he in fact has some level of psychic ability?

He learned a long time ago that acknowledging psychic powers was dangerous, so he’s learned to obfuscate. Of course he doesn’t have psychic insight into the guys they’re going up against, they just have a very distinctive way of walking. He gets flashes of knowledge that he can’t explain, but if he just says “distinctive” people accept it.

That’s not to say that the ability isn’t useful in fights. In The Big Bang Job, he walks into a kill box with multiple shooters and comes out without a scratch. At one point, a guy tries to come up behind him and Eliot shoots him dead with a single shot without even looking around. Flashes of insight about the future let him know where to be to avoid getting hit by the bullets.

When he went up against Mikel in The Two Live Crew Job, he only had to look at her stance to know exactly how their fight would play out.

It doesn’t make him invulnerable, but it gives him enough of an edge to pull off the impossible.
