can't quite get over that bit in the intro to s3 where the location-text thing says "Nate's Apart-" then changes it's mind and decides that it's "Leverage HQ"

Casual reminder that the writers of Leverage toned their research down because real life was that bad.

I got shanked by my own scalpel last year, in the neck!
i honestly do not know which idea I like better: A. that Sophie actually went “okay, since Nate did something stupid YET AGAIN, I decided that the best punishment would be some quality family bonding, so everyone, here’s my REAL NAME, just NEVER use it in Nate’s presence because he has not earned it.” OR B. everyone collectively went, “how do we fuck with Nate for abandoning us?” and Sophie went, “Oh I know the perfect way to piss him off”
Why can’t it be both at once?
I like weird maps. I like to see people sketch out stuff. I like to see how people process information. You know. Hardison uses computers in a very intuitive, natural way. Parker was trained, as we find out this season, by Richard Chamberlain, by an old school 1960’s thief. She needs pages, she needs paper, she needs to feel stuff. While Nate is able to- you know, something that happens a little later in the season, we talk about memory techniques. Nate has trained himself to recreate three dimensional images in his head. And so all he needs is rough references and so that’s what the chess board came from. - John Rogers, 3x01 Audio Commentary

bonus: one time they were serious (ಥ﹏ಥ)
i’m thinking about that part in the second david job when eliot is just casually working on one of parker’s rigs. is that his job. did parker just shove it into his arms before running off and he obliged with some half hearted complaining. did he grab it from her with a grumble about how it was making weird noises the last time she belayed. im just
also, in the first episode of S3, Parker mentions that she wanted to use the new right that Hardison got her (I think it was for Christmas?). which means that both boys are involved in her love of making/maintaining her own climbing rigs, which is. incredibly sweet.
#also! nate looks so proud when he shows her he has one too. she gets so delighted when sophie shows up in a rig to save her they all know parker loves jumping/hanging off buildings and they love to share that with her (even if most of them don't want to be involved in the actual jumping off buildings part)
