“He’s rocking the full Indiana Jones and I said to him - he came up to me on the third take, he said ‘how do you want me to play this one?’ I said play it like you wanna kiss him but you can’t. Kane dug in on it man, and there is an uncomfortable sexual tension in this entire sequence.” - John Rogers, ‘The Boiler Room Job’ DVD commentary
Rewatching "The Boiler Room Job" and they really did just give Eliot a machete and set him loose in the jungle with an asshole conman ceo huh
Either they both come out of the jungle and the rest of the con proceeds or Eliot comes out of the jungle and they go home in time for dinner. There’s no bad option here.
that’s my girl!

LEVERAGE, 4.08
This is genuinely one of my favorite Eliot moments, because it shows so clearly that a) he really likes hitting people, and b) he has an absolutely rock solid code about who he is and isn’t allowed to hit.
The guy runs into him; Eliot just stands there. The guy takes a swing; Eliot dodges.
His job is to stop the guy leaving, and if he stays in this room and is ineffective in combat, then Eliot is NOT ALLOWED to hit him.
So when the guy punches him in the face, he SMILES. NOW he’s allowed to hit him!
You can see the same thing in the episode that opens with some people hassling a mom and daughter: Eliot pulls the bad guys away, and stands between them and their victims, and then STOPS. And waits. He doesn’t say anything, but you can just hear him thinking “Try ‘n’ touch ‘em again, asshole. …. no, seriously, please try. Cuz the rules say I’m not allowed to hit you again unless you do, and I REALLY want to hit you again.“ (Sadly for Eliot, those bad guys are smarter than this bad guy, and run away. Sigh.)
It’s just a wonderful little character detail, and I love it.
I don't think I've ever watched The Boiler Room Job before. I enjoyed it immensely. But especially loved this character Eliot played.
Also, for my apparent knife kink, that nice jungle machete.

Eliot: “Thanks man, that’s awesome. I haven’t hit anybody in over two weeks.”

he’s so cute defending parker’s honor like bitch me too
“If you eat the heart of a snake, you consume it’s soul” … 0_0
Eliot’s overly intense persona that would be a parody except he’s acting too serious to be called out on it.

The way the entire con revolves around chocolate because of Parker’s trip to the chocolate festival.
Count Chocula - possibly the most ridiculous nickname in the show. If not, it’s a close runner up.

“You forgot about the moonwalking bear”
Some of the best cons weren’t invented by criminals. I love how so many of his victims got to play a leading role in the takedown, and how you can see them hiding grins in the background as Nate starts his “this was the plan all along”-speech.
@bookwyrmie this is a very valid contribution
