the thing that explains most villain likers (contra the expected notion of "they're just mean/morally corrupt/secretly nazis") is the simple fact that the underdog story is traditionally very popular in modern culture. and what it comes down to is: would you rather identify with the little guy, the loser, who has nothing? or the big powerful motherfucker who stays winning for 90% of the story?

this choice says a lot about someone's personality, but it doesn't say any of the things people think it does.

one thing asians do better than us? cooking videos. an american baking video will be someone loudly talking into a camera the whole time like a reality TV show, occasionally shoving the bowl into the camera. a korean baking video will have no music, no speech, no text except the recipe, 100% pure actual baking... the peak of baking video

if anyone asks why people should quit social media, i'm just going to refer them to this screenshot. how many situations have you absorbed (seen, heard, read) from social media that influence the way you see the world, and you don't even know it? how much has your idea of the world been skewed by things that aren't even a little bit true? the more i think about it, the worse it gets...

We were gathering herbs for my bunny but I kept finding little slug babies on 'em, I released as many as I could but then we got home and my husband started checking his herbs and putting the babies on my hand. They'd always wake up and start exploring after being handled, they weren't shy at all. I released them all around our garden to grow into strong healthy slimers
