At Every Girl Dolls, our mission is to help kids explore and celebrate their identity through play. Our goal is to create dolls that represent all backgrounds and celebrate cultural identities through ethnic clothes and accessories that inspire kids of all ages.
Our first doll, Laila, is South Asian and celebrates the background of both our founders.

Every Girl Dolls has recently introduced their two newest additions–Laila’s brother Kiaan and her friend Anika.
Jilly Bing has introduced their second doll to their lineup– Riley!
Riley is an adventurous girl of Asian and Caucasian descent. She is full of energy and loves to explore the outdoors, fueled by snacks from her parents' favorite Asian grocery store. Her favorite treat is Asian shaved ice with sprinkles. When Dad grimaces at the nontraditional toppings, Riley says, 'My mix, my way.' When Riley is hiking or playing on the beach, her bucket hat shields her from the sun. But when she needs a buddy, Riley's hat transforms into Chilly Cheeks, her 'cool' Asian shaved ice sidekick, who is always ready to join her on an adventure.

Halloween is coming up, so I wanted to show off my girls in their costumes. First is Mia as Strawberry Shortcake and Shamsa as Mirabel Madrigal.
Nellie is Cinderella.
Ivy is dressed as Winnie the Pooh and Kavi is a clown. (My Ivy is perpetually barefoot. I don't know why. She's the only one like that.)
Lilias is playing Rapunzel, Dovie is a cowgirl, and Apolline is a ray of sunshine. (I had to remove the shoes because she fell off my desk at least half a dozen times. Heeled shoes on dolls with flat feet are awful.)

I was inspired by ivylingstanacc on Instagram to mock up book covers for if my girl Ivy Ling had been the main character.
There aren't a ton of Ivy illustrations, which is a huge shame because I'd like to make her a cover for The Puzzle of the Paper Daughter, one of Julie's mysteries that heavily features Ivy and her grandparents!
Ivy is such a sweet character, I really wish AG had made her more than a sidekick.
I'm done! I spent a month on it, and I'm finally done!!! I completed ten sets of outfits (a dress and a nightgown in each set) for Chanukah and Kwanzaa (five for each holiday), eight of which are going to Special Dollivery, an awesome organization that donates AG dolls and outfits to kids in foster care! 💙
