Duke having fun with the batfam! these doodles are a bit of a follow-up to an older drawing where Duke asks the batfam for some help coming up with a nickname.

I've always wanted to do something a little extra for that drawing, but couldn't think of what. Decided to just draw the nicknames as silly alternate hero personas.

A lot of people responded with their own preferred names for Duke, there was so many cool and cute names. My personal favorite was Honeybee, just too adorable! Kinda sounds like a name for a sidekick for Bumblebee tbh.

Here's a fun little comic, with Bluejay Jason meeting with his fellow Blue Jays, Jay Abrams! Jason is such a menace, Dick's so embarrassed lol.

Blue Jay is an interesting minor hero who (along with his fellow Champions of Angor) is patterned after Marvel superheroes, he's basically supposed to be Ant-Man. In fact, his entire home world is modeled after the Marvel Universe. Which kinda came off as weird since their supposed to be aliens but their world looks just like ours, or a 80s version of it anyways. Jay has a rough time in the comics, what with losing his planet, friends, and doesn't get a whole lot of respect as a hero. Here's hoping he has a better time in my au!

This meeting between the Blue Jays was something that I was bound to draw at some point, since Blue Jay being is an actual superhero in DC comics, was something I discovered while googling heroes with bird names (btw, Starling is also a superhero in the comics as well, I've got a drawing concerning them but that's for a different time.). By then I'd already grown really attached the name, so I had to figure out a way to make them co-exist.

But turns out, there was a solution available! Thanks to how the timelines work in the comics and for my own au, Jason in the TrWh au would already be Robin by the time Jay Abrams arrives to earth. In the comics Blue Jay (along with Silver Sorceress, and Wandjina) debut directly at the start of post-crisis (late 80s). Canon Jason was already halfway between his tenure as Robin, and my TrWh Jason follows a similar timeline (he might've become Robin just a year younger maybe tho).

So technically the comic above is not actually 'canon' to my au! It's a 'non-canon' gag, made for the sake of the joke of the two Blue Jays meeting! They're never actually Blue Jays at the same time, but I couldn't resist drawing it lol.

Been on a bit of a roll with posting my drawings lately, just getting rid of some backlog. Anyways, here's a funny doodle of the batkids bothering their big brother Nightwing on a date with Starfire. They're so annoying lmao.

Its kinda a sequel to this comic from way back. I say kinda because I meant to put with the comic itself but I was too lazy to do so. But I'm posting it now!

Speaking of that comic, I got an ask asking for a follow-up to it showcasing Dick and Starfire's kids getting some 'revenge' for them. Here's Mar'i (NightStar) and Jake Grayson popping in from the future! (btw I accidentally deleted the ask, feel bad esp considering how long it took to actually do art they wanted.)

They're all having so much fun! Look at little Jake, I actually wasn't sure if I should put him here since Mar'i is from Kingdom Come and Jake is from The New Order. Two different universes, the ask did ask for both of them so I did so. Also I forgot his eyes were green, aw well.

Speaking of Kingdom Come, I remember reading that in my middle school library along with some other DC/Batman comics. I was already a total weeb and loved manga so I decided to try out western comics too (since I did like the DCAU cartoons). Read them for a few weeks got bored, then picked up Akira and wouldn't read superhero comics again for more than a decade. Just weren't as easy to get into as manga, took some effort to try them again.

I love her outfit, such a wonderful design. And its fun to play around with it too, its fun. But I'll probably take off those wings on her headband, they clutter the design I think. Gosh I love doing her hair its so fun.

Played around with Nightstar's outfit some more . Wanted to draw them longer so make it look like actual wings on her, and also like tassels on a performer's costumes.

Bit of a late night posting, but wanted to do another batgirl post and what better way to do that than with the very first Batgirl(or Bat-Girl really) Bette Kane! Looks like Cass and Steph are curious about her, looks like Barbara has some explaining to do!

Bette Kane is a character that goes way back to the 60s (golden age), alongside with her aunt Kathy Kane. Only Bette reappeared post-crisis, Kathy wouldn't reappear herself til years later (and sorta replaced with Kate Kane, Bette's cousin.)

She's also part of her own team, Titans West (alongside Bumblebee, Herald, Hawk, Dove, Golden Eagle, and Beast Boy). It didn't last long, which is a shame really. I kinda wish that we did get an ongoing comic for this team, but it never really got the chance for that. I mean, doesn't Marvel have something like West coast avengers? It could've worked I bet.

Bette herself didn't really get much of a chance as a character either, she rarely appeared and when she did it always seemed like other characters just look down on her. Made me sad to read, she seemed to really want the chance to be a hero and help people. But I guess other heroes thought she was too vain or an airhead. To me tho, this came off as more 'tell, not show', since she appeared too little to actually show off her flaws.

But like I said, it seems all she want is to help people, I suspect her motivation to help is a combination of vanity, selflessness, and a desire challenge herself. Especially in the athletic sense, since it seemed being a tennis star wasn't enough for her. (Also I guess I should mention her crush on Robin, Dick, as well. It is important, but its not something I really cared about tbh.)

Helena Bertinelli, the Huntress, she gives the best advice! She has her own interesting comic history, esp with the split between pre and post crisis. Btw that first pic of Helena is part of a larger pic but I can't post it till I 'introduce' other characters into the TrWh au.

Also Misfit aka Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe, a chaotic teleporter that gives Barbara quite the headache. Cass and Steph have no idea what to do with her lol!

Here a couple of doodles showing Dick, Jason, and Steph working together to stop crime, tho Steph will often split her time with Batgirls often. You can see by the first doodle how this trio have no fear of authority lol.

And here we get to see the Robins form some battle attacks. They're truly unstoppable when working together!

The Dick/Jason/Steph trio in the TrWh au is something that only lasted for few months, not long after Dick would go to college and a year after that Jason would become robin. But it was fun while it lasted!

Just some doodles showcasing Cass and Jason's rivarly and Duke bringing them together. I think I mentioned in another post on how Cass and Jay only get along for Duke sake's, they just love him a lot!

Cass and Jason's rivalry in my au go way back, probably sense the moment they met (they both would have been aroung 9). They just get on each other's nerves!! Steph doesn't care one bit,lol. Dick and Babs are completely exasperated with their behavior and try ways to get them to get along.

There's a few reason's as to why, aside from basic personality clash, likely stemming from stepping on each others insecurites. But this doesn't stop them from working together to beat villains. Duke however, has helped them get along better. Tho one wonders if this friction will grow worse as they get older...

Little siblings are terrors, 9 out of 10 scientists agree! Wanted to post some Dick and Jason interactions, so here they are.

For that first pic, wanted to draw the brothers hugging it out, but realized that Jason giving Dick a lot of grief about it was funnier. But they do love each other, Jason's just a brat is all lol.

Second pic is Dick getting some revenge, look how little Jason is in his booster seat lol.

Third pic is a cheeky little reference to the New52 outlaws, the controversial team-up between Starfire, Roy and Jason. Starfire here seems to have fun humoring Jason lead the 'rescue mission' here, perhaps she knew Dick wasn't actually in trouble. Roy's just being dragged along for the ride. Dick doesn't seem too appreciative of being rescued here, but as I said, little siblings are terrors.

Some batfam doodles set in my TrWh au, with a bit of a focus on Stephanie Brown!

The first pic with Arthur trying to make Steph his sidekick (probably inspired by Bluejay Jason following Robin around) is kinda meant to be an explanation on why Steph becomes spoiler so early in this comic. While explanations are not really needed because my au focuses on comedy and cuteness, I thought this would just be a little fun bit of background info on Steph and her father Arthur Brown in this au. The pointer name comes from the cw Batwoman show, where Steph is a redhead for some reason.

Also we see that Steph often goes to sleepovers with the other batkids, tho she's really having fun being Starling. I think in another post I was thinking on how to work around the issue of Steph being a 8 year old vigilante without her mom finding out, I even considered the possibility of Bruce somehow fostering her. But I decided that just do the classical superhero identity shenanigans is all I need to do.

Also don't worry about Jason and Cass being tossed, they're having fun there! Kids love being tossed like ragdolls, I should know as the eldest sister myself lol.

Next pic has Steph and Cass switch roles for a bit with Steph being a mini batgirl as 'Batlass', a name I considered for Cass. And Cass is a mini robin as Blackbird, aren't they cute?

Little gag comic with Barbara shrinking into a kid, Steph and Cass look shocked to say the least. Lori Zechlin with often play magical pranks on other superheroes, its can end up pretty chaotic.

Lastly a glimpse in a possible future in the TrWh world, with Steph as Batgirl at last with Nell Little as her protege Starling! Perhaps she might have also use the Spoiler moniker as well too. We also see Damian and Tiffany Fox hang out as well, also Cass (as batman?) seems to be mentoring Maps Mizoguchi. Tho I haven't really thought about the details that much, just something fun to draw. Oh, theres also Carrie Kelley but she likely doesn't exist in my au, just felt like drawing her.

Just some funny doodles of my au kiddy outlaw team, seems to be some interesting tensions in the group! Tho Jason and Koryak weren't born wealthy, not that the others really care lol. Quit bragging about that stuff guys!!

The bottom comic is a fun interaction between Vanessa and Toni. I feel Toni could help Vanessa feel like a normal girl again, even if she comes off a little too strong. Vanessa though, feels a bit awkward around Toni, since Toni was the type of girl Vanessa wished she could be like, back before her Silver Swan days. But I think they have the potential to become friends!

Vanessa's WWE comment comes from a moment in the WW comics, where its mention that Vanessa takes up wrestling at school, so took it a bit further to her also being a WWE fan as well. Her ballet classes come from the rebirth comics, I don't mind mixing up continuities to suit my needs for my au's.

Doesn't Vanessa look magical in the last drawing? I wanted to draw her in a almost Sailor Moonish type outfit, specifically the super sailor form.

Now that I've finally posted Duke's friends Riko and Dax, I can show off this comic that's been gathering dust for about 3 months now.

A sequel to this comic I made way back, made mostly to observe to see how far my art's improve (which is... barely, geez..). What do you guys think? Maybe I should save up for art school, but I don't think that's gonna happen tbh.

Sometimes I look at the drawings I've made for this silly little au of mine and think, wow! What a completely different world from canon, I do try to keep it in line with the comics (tho I do mix in other sorts of continuities as well). But I mostly do whatever suits my fancy.

Introducing for the young Outlaw team, is... Argent/Toni Monetti and Boomerang Jr/Owen Mercer!!

I'd been wanting a speedster for the team, I really liked Godspeed but as I said in my last post it simply wasn't meant to be. But then I found Owen, and I just knew he would fit in perfectly.

Owen is the prankster of the team, tho the other kids like pranks as well, Owen takes it to another level. While he likes to cause a ton of trouble, he's a pretty nice guy regardless. He also loves his dad and idolizes him, his dad loves him a lot in turn. His father, the original Captain Boomerang is a bit torn on wither to bring Owen into the family 'business' or leave him out of it.

Interestingly Owen and Barry Allen seem to get along as well, Wally is baffled by their friendship. Barry might be trying to convince Owen to try to be a hero, instead of a villain. Honestly Owen isn't really sure what path he wants to take, tho for the moment he's just happy to have fun with his friends.

As an aside, his backstory is the similar to post crisis, he was just discovered at an earlier date.

As for Argent, while looking around for characters around Jason's age, I discovered the Titan characters from the 1996 Teen Titans book. I quite like them, and I was originally was gonna put Risk on the team, but Risk felt too similar so many other characters.

Thinking it over, I decided that Argent would make the more interesting choice, her personality would make more interesting dynamics with the others, not to mention her history with Rose Wilson. Plus I wanted a more feminine character, make the team more balanced.

Her backstory (along with Risk, Prysm, and Hotspot) is the same as post-crisis, their powers simply activated at an earlier age.

With these two, you can see that theirs a bit of a divide between more traditional good heroes, and a those with a more morally ambiguous bent. Tho that was what I was aiming for. I wanted to team to be diverse in powers, viewpoints, and come from different areas of the DC universe. I'm really liking how this teams working out, there might be a couple more characters to bring it, tho I don't want to make the team too big.

Anyways some 'concept' art of Toni and Owen, I'm really proud of Toni's design especially (took some inspiration from her 2003 cartoon design):

Batgirl and Robin (and Downy)meet...Batlad and Batbaby!!

Here's a comic I made showcasing Jace and Tiffany Fox in the Training Wheels AU!! Lets see how they get along with Cass, Jason and Damian!!

Look's like there's a new rival in town, and Cass is not impressed! But at least Jason and Jace get along. Jace might be a little insensitive here, I was trying to capture his pre-accident personality, not sure I'm happy with his characterization here. He's a pretty good kid honestly.

Cass might seem a bit harsh, but she's just very protective of the Bat symbol is all. Jason doesn't care lol.

The name Batbaby is something from this golden age Batman comic where Bruce turns into a little kid, very goofy. And I thought about using Batboy for Jace, but felt a little corny to me. Jason in a comic made a comment about using the name batboy, if I had used that name I probably would've shown Jason being kinda jealous of Jace here but whatever.

Damian and Tiffany have a little rivalry going on here, meant to parallel Cass's rivalry with Jace, the image of Batgirl and Batlad set against each other I couldn't resist. But it's also meant to parallel her and Jason mutual antagonism with each other, both as Batgirl/Robin and as siblings.

Btw Jason and Cass are 13, Jace is 14 and Tiffany is 1! Jace, I think, should be much older than Jason and Cass, around Dick's age maybe? That's the impression I got, but for this comic he's closer to their age. Also Damian should be 3-4, but for the purposes of comedy he's a baby here.

Also here's the color concept for Jace and Tiffany, considered a range of colors for Tiffany. She's the 'pink' batgirl in my mind, so I wondered with pallet would go best with that. But pink and yellow just seemed best to me.

The Batfamily in the Training Wheels au, going through 3 distinct eras.

The first years with Robin Dick and BlueJay Jason. Along with Batgirl Barbara,--- Cassandra, and Starling Steph.

The second era with Batgirl Cass, Robin Jason and Lark Duke. Along with Steph still as Starling and Tim as Rook (Dick is Nightwing and Babs Oracle).

Third era Jason becomes Red Robin, Steph is Robin and Damian becomes Downy (which he hates!). Everyone else is still the same.

Who knows what happens next! I don't!

I drew out a 2-page timeline for my au, for personal use, and working out the years and ages was tough tbh! Honestly I treat it as more as a guideline than anything else. And really, in this au comedy and jokes will always win over continuity, so I don't worry if the years don't add up! I'm totally not excusing myself lol!

I might be overthinking all this, but it is fun to craft. Anyways, hope you like it.

Red Devil and Red Hood fight the Devilman himself!! Kinda a sequel to this.

Both Eddie and Jason have strong similarities with Akira and Ryo, thematic wise. For Eddie, it's being turned into a devil obviously, it even happens because of a blond Lucifer-type character taking advantage of his naïve nature.

And for Jason, it's similar to how he grows less innocent and harsher like Akira. Plus his ambition parallels closely with Ryo.

I tried to follow Go Nagai's artstyle, particularly his later style, like from Lady Devilman (which was...an experience lol). Hope I succeeded a bit.
